I’m not sure, I’ve heard that PS3 version is bad? Sony is sponsoring the event, so it will be ran on PS3 no doubt. I doubt Asus will use laggy monitors, this is a pretty serious event. I wish they gave more information though.

Its very cool of Capcom to include 3s, and they probably thought PS3 would be best as its the EVO standard as are ASUS monitors.
I hope 3s gets a good showing, and not just loads of idiots picking Ken and Chun and hoping for the best.

Your inclusion of Paris in that sentence was a joke right? I appreciate that you would want the tourneys to come to Canada, but PLEASE tell me you aren’t really indignant that Paris gets a Capcom tourney over Canada.
Here the quaterfinal bracket for 3s at Austin. They showed 3s quite a bit on the stream, only problem was it was genuinely the worst level of 3s i’ve ever seen. Although the players in the quaterfinals are decent.

sf3 online channel has a lot recently on taunts, can’t taunt me, evilryu78 taunt backfire… no need to hyperbole. But was the level of play as bad as fubarduck’s “mexican”? Guy is really good at Nihongo though.
What was bad was Jumpsuit Jesse FeiLong, UDavid JChen team going on about, “Yeah he always wants to make SBO, trains so hard, wishes he could represent the US,” finally stop and say, “yeah but no, he’s a big ST guy as we know.” douchebags probably just don’t know what happened with 3s USA SBO team spot. :wasted:

There were test done on the 360 and PS3 version, the input lag is 99.9% identical on both, 4f delay.
There is still no data from the arcade board to compare with.
ASUS monitors have < 1 frame of lag
Asus monitors having half a frame of lag still probably matters more for 3s than most games
it should just be understood at this point that you need to bring along some CRTs if you have a 3s tournament, and keep people who hate/don’t know anything about 3s far away from the microphone

The testing guys are smart enough to do VGA, no filters.
“Game mode” was proven to be just a Color/Brightness setting, like many an other TV. 1920 not Native 720p, those are hard to find now native output to match the console without an upscale, blah blah.
Capcom Tournament, “arcade monitor” + “scanlines” on x2, I would bet Component/HDMI on the cheap not an HDFURY ($150-200 cables) or equivalent, x3. And maybe even the Crisp / Smooth(Was in PS2, but still something else to consider with the port), 3~4 more variables beyond standard stripped down to the basics, no fluff, how current players try to have their best experiences, and that’s not even including the TV.
