Cant play well in left side

You wouldn’t happen to have gone from pad to stick by any chance? I still have trouble on “my bad side” doing supers and generally “feeling uncomfortable”. On a pad I’m 100% but trying to switching to stick was/is a hard transition and I remember friends who never played fighting games able to do supers on the stick but struggle forever on a pad.

I’ve been practicing stick for a week. I hope it won’t take me months to master as I’ve read most people describe their experiences.

I practice in 3S and HSF on Xbox. I’ve somewhat learned to do dragons, if I just do it properly and not out of instinct… though it takes a few milliseconds longer. I haven’t mastered it, and I still can’t do anti-air dragons in SFII against the CPU. Not on reaction. Just turns into a mess of stick movements.

Scratch that… I have sort of learned this particular stick’s movements, and usually succeed in what I try if I watch the stick instead of the screen. But doing it by instinct is something I can’t do yet. Kara-throws are easy, though.

I have a lot of difficulty doing supers from the 1P side. I try to minimize the movements, do it swift and precise as someone here mentioned, but again, it usually turns into a mess as I rush to force it before the cancel-window disappears.

I do change the way I hold the stick on the 1P side… at least when in training mode when practicing supers. I have a hard time with dashes too, usually… but that’ll come along soon enough.

Man, learning to dash again on a stick was a bitch.
Urien’s midscreen unblockables require pretty much insta-dashing and it frustrated me for ages.
But, like you said man - it did come along eventually.

he was joking…

Ah, crap… walked into that one:amazed:
