Can't get any better

ggs today, hopefully i’ll get a mic next time we play so i can give you some tips right then

but here’s some advice:
fundamentals all day every day

i noticed i got way to many jump ins, know your anti air normals if you don’t have a dragon punch (even then i still prefer using a normal over a dp)
for a lot of characters, it’s just down fierce and it’ll beat out a lot of jump ins clean or at least trade
practice them on reaction till you don’t even have to think about it, it’ll really help you and stop a lot of people like me who love jumping

hit confirm you’re combos, i noticed this with adon mostly
you would try and combo into the dragon punch while i was blocking, so you ended up throwing out that dragon punch at the end even though i was blocking and i would punish you
learn a simple block string so that if im blocking, youll be safe. otherwise just hit confirm into that dp combo

also, do not use a random ultra unless you are like 99% positive that youre opponent is pressing buttons
a lot of times i just blocked your ultras, jumped over them or w/e
a few times you caught me on wake up though cause i like to stick things out especially with abel
try to learn how you can combo into an ultra and practice, ie with ryu you can dp > fadc> ultra

be mindful of your meter also, i saw a lot of ex shoryukens for no apparent reason (mostly with dan)
especially if youre playing someone like ryu. when ryu had 2 bars and an ultra he gets 10x more dangerous
also, meter is extremely useful to cancel dp’s. ie, you would do a lot of wake up dp’s and i would block then punish
if you had 2 bars you could just cancel that dp and be safe, which i think you did a couple times but try to do it like all the time

other thoughts:
for adon, try using standing roundhouse more as a poke, it’s reallllyyy good

if you wanna play me again, just toss an invite
i’ll probably have a mic next time

OP:
Feel free to add me on xbox live. I have a decent friends list going for SSF4. I’m all about getting better. We usually have lvl up sessions and peeps come and go. I get everything from top 10 players on xbox (for their respective toons) to people who just like doing randoms. We all have mics and are super chill.

Don’t play the computer on hardest. You will learn nothing.

Actually, go play a vs against the a CPU adon on hardest. Then just down back and count how many Jag-tooths it does. It just spams it over and over and over and over and over. It’s pointless to play the CPU on hardest.

Thanks for the tips, neverantiquated. I will certainly work on all those things.

Thanks to everyone else who played me today as well, I was shocked by how good you all were. I hope to play on that level someday.

This man is right. The Hardest CPU knows what you’re doing because it knows your inputs, which means it’s borderline precognition. No human could react in such a way.
