Unfortunately, there’s not really many people from Edmonton that are going to Evo. I think it’s just Shiro, Jinrai, Dalton, Detrimantix, and I that are going from Edmonton at least that I know of. We had a much stronger showing last year but the Evo experience last year turned off a lot of our players from going. I’m just going for Vegas though as I’m not entering Evo this year.
Haha…that would be balling but we’re obviously heading to the Rhino that weekend.

Oh shit it’s the offcast. I can help with the stream but, lol hauling my equipment from Canada won’t be happening. Streaming this would be gadlike.
Definitely would be awesome if the offcast crew chilled out or even wanted to stream what goes on. Not sure the quality of the internet of the Rio but if Caesars Palace had weak internet in the Salty Suite last year then I’m not sure if the Rio would have anything better.

I can stream on pretty crappy internet or off a 4g phone, plus I’ll have most of my gear. If not, hope to meet some peeps at evo.

LOL I was more curious how you guys managed to get skype into the stream. I havent been able to successfully do that with wirecast using soundflower.

The guys coming from Vancouver are all going to meet up for dinner on Thursday night. If you guys haven’t planned anything yet for that hour, we’d like to meet the rest of the guys coming from Canada and maybe even get some games/MMs in after dinner. There’s about a dozen of us, maybe more.
We’re meeting at the Rio front desk at 6:30pm on Thursday night. Thread is here:
Dinner will probably be done around 8:00 or 8:30 so there’s plenty of time for night activities.

@beatrush I don’t use soundflower at all. just headphone out to mixer (set this in skype as well) and mixer out to a line in port (set this in skype as well). Easy!

Over the past 5 years of working in the nightclub industry, I’d thought I’d offer some advice.
-When you mix alcohol and competition you will get fights
-For a club filled with 450 people we have we have 9-10 bouncers working
-People get too drunk
-People do break shit for no reason.
So make sure you have some people that will escort people out, break up fights, and make sure people don’t overdrink or do something stupid (throw stuff off a balcony)
