Quick point about the ranks:
Does it really matter if they’re accurate, right now? This is just a starting point. Hell, they could be random, for all it really matters. Once the challenges actually START, then you’ll know for sure who fits where. As long as they’ve got the main players covered, then it’s all good.
For GTA players, it makes sense to base the rankings of results of the March 5th tournament, doesn’t it?

Just a quick reminder. New rule about challenge for 6th. No money matches required anymore, but after talking to Justin, he recommended the regions who will have a lot of ppl challenging for 6th at the same time should have a round robin mini tourney to determine the ONE person to challenge for that spot. Also, the new rule is that during that round robin tourney, the rank you get is the number of weeks you cannot challenge for 6th place. So if 8 ppl challenge for 6th, and you get 8th, then you’re out of the running for 8 weeks. That discourages ppl challenging for the hell of it.
Finally, I just wanna remind u all that I’ll be making a thread a few days before March 1st where every1 can post their challengse. If a challenge is NOT posted there, it will not count. A new thread will be created each week for that respective week. Each thread will be close FRIDAY @ 12 MIDNIGHT. Challenges will take place SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY. RESULTS MUST BE POSTED IN THE RESULTS THREAD FOR THAT WEEK. Will be like this each week with a fresh Challenges and Results thread.

As stated in the rules, which I will make a thread for in the forums, if someone refuses a challenge, the other guy gets a forfeit win.
As for neutral locations, I hope you guys are mature enough to COMPROMISE and not start bullshit for the hell of it. If someone is trying to be dumb for the hell of it, then you can talk to me and we’ll settle it. If someone is suspected of purposely causing shit then they will be eliminated from the top6 for a few weeks (nothing definite for now, because I’m hoping no1 is going to act like that).

I’m not getting this. Why create a list now? Just wait for the next set of tournaments from each region and then you have a new list. And why this challenge stuff? Just do it from the tournaments. Eliminates all the drama. Or maybe thats what we are after.
Because setting up the starting from the rankings won’t represent everyone. What if JS Master or Ratio1BeatDown don’t make it? That means that they aren’t the best in CVS2 and shouldn’t be on the rankings? I think the rankings on the site now are pretty accurate for the regions that responded.
which is so long ago and no ones care. i was the highest ranking sauga player for t3, t4, and t5. so it really doesn;t matter if u get a high rank in some tournemnet so long ago.

Hasn’t anyone realized this whole ranking thing is stupid? Who is gonna actually take the time to meet up with someone to play for 1 ranking spot. A ranking spot on a website run by Geese. Think about that for a moment.
So according to your rules, if Ian challenges JS and JS can’t make it due to school or whatever for a couple weeks, he loses his spot. Then Ian challenges Roger. And then Roger doesn’t go, because he knows this thing is stupid. So Ian would be ranked #1. Like anyone is gonna believe that. And then what, he’s #1. Does he get a prize? Nope, he gets name on a list, on a site, that no one cares about.
It’s cool you’re trying to bring some life into the scene and all. But there are too many problems getting this to work.

Ya I like the ranking idea, but challenge system is pretty pointless, and the fact that Geese rub too many ppl the wrong way in the past really doesnt help.
and yes TO (especially 3s) needs more spots cuz we have too many good players.
