lol@ saying it’s “banned from TV”. Since when is not being able to find a network to show your shitty music video mean it’s “banned”?

That’s like some teenage emo band that can’t get signed claiming they are too “hardcore” or “extreme” for the masses. No dude, you just have no talent.

I think it’s for religious purposes. I don’t remember the exact reason, but I remember seeing that it stemmed from religion. Israel has never lost a war from what I remember. I’m not going to try to turn this into a religious debate but IIRC it does say in the Bible at time of Israel’s exodus from Egypt, God promised to be with his chosen people at all times. Something to that effect, I don’t remember exact wording. Some people will try to debate it by bringing up the Holocaust and I don’t know what to say to that since I don’t know much about it except a little. It’s about the only wartime situation I can think of and I don’t think they were engaged in actual strategic combat.

It was one thing to say you didn’t care. Okay, that’s fine.

Not satisfied, though, you go on and talk about how ‘shitty’ his music is (when in fact, regardless of opinion, the track is VERY well put together and shows a lot of technical talent) in a completely different post, now it’s just looking like he hit a nerve.

The fact remains, that just because he couldn’t get on Television doesn’t mean it’s “banned from TV”. It’s obviously just a stupid tagline thrown in to give his video more “edginess”.

Not my fault it’s a shitty song.

While Israel doesn’t resort to terrorist tactics, it’d be short-sighted to believe they are morally faultless in this conflict. Incidentally, there are many displaced peoples who lack clout like the Israelis have to be making territorial claims.

It’s politics, not racism. If anything, that’s a card Zionists are willing to play to stifle legitimate criticism of their agenda. And the US maintains friendly relations with a number of non-Christian countries, the most notable example being Japan.

Anyway, to answer the OP’s question, some conservative types support Israel in belief that it will further the return of Jesus. Somewhat ironically, Muslims probably share more beliefs with Christians than Jews do. Additionally, Israel has powerful lobbyists and a considerable number of Jewish people are in positions of power in government, financial and legal industries, which gives them the wherewithal to influence policy decisions.

As for whether the Jews remain chosen by God or not, there is even argument within Judaism about that subject.

Just religion? Wow. If you think about the scale of the coop between Israel and US, you’re talking billions of dollars, arms deals, joint military exercises, major business deals, trade agreements, information/intelligence sharing - list continues.

All that because of religion?

(btw: no sarcasm intended, I’m genuinely saying)

Don’t they have some really sweet guns too? As far as munitions go, it’s smart to have a country that is always at war developing some of your weaponry.

Most of this has already been said but to sum up in varying degrees:

–Most important strategic ally in Oil Land

–Extremely friendly to foreign investors unlike most other Middle Eastern states

–Holocaust Guilt

–Christian hardcore literally believe that Jews are God’s chosen people and that the current nation of Israel was destined to be re-established as the focal point of Armageddon (see: everything in Revelations)

–Jews despite being a very small minority in America (around 2% of the total population) hold a tremendously disproportionate amount of power, influence, and wealth in US politics, business, law (3 out of 9 Supreme Court Justices are Jews), and media

–Sizable portion of Israeli Jews are American expatriates or children of American ex-pats.

–White people vs. brown people

They need Bullet Bill.

@Return of Shiki When it comes to oil, Saudi Arabia may be more important, or maybe that’s just the Bushes with their close ties to the royal family.

Saudi definitely is the richest in oil, but the US doesn’t have the amount of control over them like it does with Israel, Afghanistan, or Iraq (although the US control over Iraq is gradually waning…)

this. in order for america to have as much involvement in another nation as it has had with israel, there has to be some grand economic kickback. israel is a strategic location for america in the middle east given america’s energy demands. some sources say america’s largest consumer of oil is its automobile industry, while other sources say it’s americas security and defense sector. either way, oil is too vital for america. unfortunately for the US, they also inherited israels conflict with it’s neighbors. This also makes israel an important military ally in that region.

america also wants to spread its political and economical ideologies across the globe to whoever will accept. the more global placement, the more access to resources, the more military advantages, the more political advantages, the more everything. as long as the gains are worth the losses, america is there.

i wonder whats gonna happen to israel in about 100-200 years when middle eastern oil begins to run dry, and american energy interests begin to decline. with decreased military funding, israel will be surrounded by enemies virtually on all sides, even in egypt. I suspect all jews will just run to new york, since ny has the largest jewish population on planet earth outside of israel. maybe jews will then realize they aren’t white once they get a taste of america’s social climate. :razzy:

I’m tempted to go on a long diatribe like I always do when such a thread pops up, but I’ll refrain for now until something of substance pops up.

I’m suprised nobody has mentioned AIPAC right now, than again a lot of people don’t follow the politics of the Middle East closely. Europe is also getting cozy with Israel these days.

diatribe away friend

I have no idea what financial or political gains can from supporting a genocidal, criminal nation.

lol… if israel was truly genocidal then they would have wiped out the Palestinians a while ago. they definitely have the ability to do so.

Genocide does not have to happen in a short period of time.

See Gaza.

It’s not happening at all.

I like how you’re against genocide while the accusation you make is concerning a country that is targeted for genocide, so it’s obvious why the US support is needed.

what??? how can you live in the US (San Diego nonetheless) and not understand how genocide = political/economic gain? Your bias has no bearing on the reality of the situation. Get your head out of your ass.
