Make sure your reaction EX SA and U1 is 100%. If you can punish Sagat for fireballing, or even just make him think twice about tiger shotting, half the battle is won.

Not sure if her cr.MK lowers her hitbox low enough, but you can try it to counter/stuff his tiger knees.

Ok, here’s a simple question: how can I perform Cammy’s Cannon strike while standing jumping or jumping forward, without making it an EX move. I see a lot of video’s of high level players that Cannon strike just above the ground and whatnot, but I can only execute this move when I jump forwards… Cheers!

:qcb::uf: :k:

This question gets asked on EVERY page in the Cammy forums. Is the search function broken??

douche mode off

Here is an explanation:

-The “Tiger Knee” Cannon Strike
-Motion- QCB,UF+K
-Uses: By using this motion, you can now spam the hell out of the strike and also allows for more damaging combos

Thanks! (Not that I probably should use this move a lot)

Oh no? Really? Damn, I hate it when this happens. Sorry guys. No excuse.

I have abysmal results in some matchups when I feel like I can’t do anything at close-but-not-point-blank range.
If I try to do a delayed TKCS, it either gets blocked and I’m never sure if I have the advantage, or it gets stuffed, or they catch me in the first jumping frames and I eat a combo.
I feel great point blank, and mid screen+, but that sweet spot is killing me. I can’t hit confirm, I can’t walk-in and throw, I can’t poke, and I can’t do anything on reaction.

With that said, most matchups just feel absurdly easy; I can’t wait to get even better/play better opponents with her.

Here’s a noob question if there ever were one: I can’t seem to help throwing out random cannon spikes when I’m trying to do spiral arrows. If I’m moving forward, I’ve obviously pressed one part of the spike input, but how do I avoid doing a spike and do an SA instead? This question could obviously be applied to Ryu/Ken etc. but since I rarely moved forward then quickly threw a fireball, it was never an issue. I suppose there has to be a slight pause after pressing forward to avoid doing the spike?

These random spikes, needless to say, are not panning out well in matches. Cammy may as well be inviting rape.

hold back before doing cannon arrow drill thing

you need to leave the stick back to neutral then preform :qcf: … thats how i do it… even after dash then EX arrow (or Ultra)… i would leave the stick to neutral position… (for a split second)…

others would use: :hcf: motion to void accidental spikes…

And then there’s people like me, who still get spikes instead of arrows after waling forward even using a :hcf: motion.

It helps to press K after the :r:, ad not during :df:.

does this combo work jump in heavy>cl.mp>cr.hp>cr.mk>HSA? if it doesnt work whats the right variation?

it does work… the combo is correct…

what do you mean by “right variation”???

depending on the matchup you want to use mk sa…

hk sa only against Blanka…

it was just incase it wouldnt work like if there were different normals which would be used instead of another in between ill go and practice it thanks

are they all 1 frame links as i need help trying do it any visual tips possibly?

The hardest link in there is definitely cl.mp>cr.hp. The rest is easy (2f or 3f, not sure). On some characters, you might want to go for c.lk instead of c.mk, much easier to combo, plus with c.lk I think the HSA always hits twice, but with c.mk you need to use MSA on some characters (Claw at least). c.lk does whiff completly on a lot of characters, mostly if your initial Cstrike or jump in wasn’t point blank.

any visual tips for hitting the cl.mp into cr.hp?

When her arm is at its peak. But whatever, I just picked up plinking and I can get it most (~75%) of the time.

what about the cr.hp>cr.mk havin trouble getting it

cr.HP , cr.MK is a 2f link. Not much to say here, just keep practicing.

Question: when did players start utilizing the TKCS in match play? I struggle to hit it in matches online and I feel that trying to hit it consumes my mind and ultimately my strategy, because I spend so much time thinking about doing that move and forget stick to fundamentals. Should I just keep practicing it in training until it’s 100% or do I just go for it in matches? I find it easier to hit the move if I do it more slowly, but that takes away some of its ability to surprise, or punish an opponent’s footsies. I feel like the inputs have to be quick for this move to be really effective.
