What if he mixes dp with throw when you land from your lk/mk/EX strike?

- throw: do another tkcs into combo/ultra… or CS FADC CS/Ultra (if you have meter)
- dp : block then punish, CS beats all his dps except EX (so watch out for that)
- block: you can continue block string… or throw him!
also its not that obvious… cammy will ambiguously land front or behind ryu (crossup maybe! sometimes i cant even tell if it will crossup but i do it anyways
)… (when u use EX… especially)

Ok so say I’m expecting him to throw me, and do another TKCS. But instead he does random dp and I lose my pressure.
Or I’m expecting him to reversal dp me, so I block. But instead he throws me and I lose my pressure.
I’m sure he can still buffer the dp.
CS beats both options if you have 2 bars go for it… mingo, seriously what do you want to do on ryus knockdown… ??

olympian i can’t believe youre getting baited like this haha. every situation where cammy can apply pressure is 50/50. yeah on dp characters if they guess right the get a little bit of damage but if they guess wrong you get a whole lot more damage. say ryu guesses dp and is right he gets what 150 dmg? unless of course he has an ultra baking. if he guess a throw right he gets 130ish damage. but if he guess wrong he’s losing upwards of 300dmg from tkcs cr.hp cr.mk hk sa and it sets up the same situation if he isn’t already dizzy considering you had comboed him before. but dive kicks are hella good against ryu if he quick rises especially that butter(ex) tkcs.
I’m not “baiting” him (whatever that means). I play this Ryu that seemingly guesses right almost all the time in 50/50 situations like those, and I’m trying to find a 100% sure way to do tight block strings into TKCS pressure. But it seems like it’s not possible against Ryu.
Super and Ultra Combos
I’m sure this has been covered. But what are simple ways to combo into Cammy’s Super and Ultra I combos? (I’m a baby SSF4 & Shoryuken n00b. So go light on the shorthand plz).

there’s nothing 100% about tkcs against a character with an uppercut. but going for a strike after a hksa is probably as close as youre going to get. usually you will either hit him or he will whiff on occassion you may trade or flat out lose but you will win more of those than you will lose. go to training mode and try it out yourself and see how many dps you land vs how many strikes you’re gonna eat.
i meant baited by you saying if ryu does this and cammy does this i lose. but if i do this and ryu does that i still lose. you gotta mix it up if ryu blocks that strike you can always backdash if you feel safer that way.

there is a combo thread…but with her super you just buffer it off of a hard kick spiral arrow. you can hit ultra off of an ex dive kick. or uppercut fadc backdash then ultra do the motions duringthe back dash
When’s the best time to do an EX strike vs. a regular one? Whenever I have meter, or should I save it?

Right now I use my EX Strikes for the following situations:
Vs. Dictator/E.Honda/Boxer
I use them as an “opener” to get in on those characters because they have very good AA moves to keep you out.
Vs. Chun Li
EX Strike beats EX SBK clean
Vs. rest of the cast
- I tried to use them after un-techable knockdowns (Hooli throws, back throws, cr.HK) and go for ambiguous EX strike cross ups.
- jump over EX TKCS fishing for a crouch tech into Ultra 1
- when being pursued/pressured, I sometimes jump back and do a surprised counter EX Strike to stop the pursue and start my offense.

whats the main move cammy players should space with and be safe
is it TKcs cause i keep getting grabbed out of my TKcs or even my regular C.S i also assume online play has something to do with some of my moves being unsafe
can anyone tell me in how many safe ways i have to approach??
Walk and dash. Cammy has one of the fastest walk speeds in the game, as well as quick recovering dashes.

What are the most useful set ups for Ultra I?
I want to do EX Cannon Spike xx Ultra I but i cant really hit confirm that quickly so i end up getting blocked
So i am trying to hit confirm with c.lp > c.lk xx Cannon Spike > FADC > Ultra I
CSpike xx FADC backdash , U1. Punishes any mash happy players (eg: Boxers), crouch techers, etc.
EX TKCS , U1. Yeah you have to hit confirm. If you can’t do it, practice in the training room by setting the dummy to random block.
Option select U1 in these setups:
-safe jumps
-meaty TKCS
-chaining lights
Not sure if this works, but I believe someone said you could do counterhit cr.HP and link U1.
Edit: Also you can link U1 after SBF or Razor’s Edge. I don’t think it works if your opponent is in the corner though.

It would be slightly OP to be that dominant in wakeup situations for characters with a DP, if you had an advantage against Ryu imagine what you could do to Abel. 50/50 is pretty good (esp when your 50 results in more potential damage). In the end you are just going to have to read that Ryu better. There’s no magic pill.

What are the intricacies for crossing up? i notice its a lot harder to cross up with cammy, at least for me, then lets say ryu because of her options. Which is better? Crossing up with H.Cannon Strike, J.lk or empty jump into combo or throw? I know its good to mix them up but i cant seem to land a cross up effectively without eating a SRK. I am guessing i just need the experience but i cant even time it right when i repeat it, unless i constantly repeat it in training mode but then its me adjusting to an algorithm and not really consciously setting up.
