low strike (blocked, here they mash c.lp) go for standing close mp (almost immediately after the low strike, this is not a TKCS!)… mostly it gives me counterhit!! then followup with c.mp/mk, hk sa

you’ll be surprised of how often you will get a counter hit with it… its awesome… if they block your cl.mp… then go for block string into strike pressure again…

when having FADC… let CS explode in their faces… FADC CS/Ultra/TKCS/Throw … or FADC out to safety!

sometimes i let mashers MASH me out of my strikes on purpose… just to bait that CS FADC Ultra… lol…

you have to link the last c.lp, with c.lk into arrow… and here comes the slight small pause… the combo is actually slow… dont rush it just chill and link them lights… lol :shy:

another thing of why SA isnt coming out is because probably you are not finishing your qcf+hk

just make sure you hit :r: switch at the end of the qcf…

also practice, practice, practice…

i used to miss my bnbs ALL THE TIME!.. i still miss it… but not as often as before…

and spending hours upon hours in training mode grinding on those bnbs/combos…

Thanks Olympian and Spektrum, I was getting it more often after the first advice but that video was really helpful and I’m getting it much more frequently now. One more question if you will (it is Q&A after all!) when you’ve got a brief countering window - say with Guile’s cr.hk, or repeated lp SRKs from Ken (I hate those so much that it makes me want to cry fiery tears) what’s a reliable thing to throw out? I’ve been trying cr.lk but it whiffs fairly often.

quick and dirty = c.mk, hk sa… easiest, less painful… good damage… and ends with an hk sa knockdown which is AWESOME!

however you can really maximize on damage, a blocked SRK vs ken is an opportunity :looney: (all the blow are on block):

lp SRK:

  • c.mk, hk sa (cancel it into super if you have meter)
  • Reversal Ultra!

mp/hp SRK (ken tends to float, wait for him to come down then punish):

  • c.mk, hk sa (cancel it into super if you have meter)
  • c.hp, c.mk, hk sa
  • Ultra! (this is not reversal… you just need to wait for ken to come down, buffer qcfx2 then press 3k when the time is right)

EX Srk:

  • c.mk, hk sa (cancel it into super if you have meter)
  • c.hp, c.mk, hk sa
  • Ultra! (same as hp,mp srk)
  • you can actually FA lvl2 as soon as block stun wears off, so FA lvl2 crumble into your best combo:

TKCS, c.hp, c.mk, hk sa
TKCS, cl.st.mp, c.hp, c.mk, mk sa

for Guile if you dont have meter just Cannon Spike between the two kicks… if you have revenge meter Ultra between them… therefore good guiles almost never use c.hk

Yesterday I ultra’d to punish Ken’EX SRK but he blocked. Man, do it while he’s still in the air, he’s got a godlike recovery.

Fuck Ken’s and Guile’s recoveries.

i agree with everything said above, but want to add one thing for guile. you can cr.lk xx HSA in between his cr.hk.

You can also block the first hit, focus the second, then dash forward for a throw, which is untechable knockdown (I love those!)

Watch out for Ken’s LP SRK though. It has only 3 frames of recovery. I personally advise doing something that doesn’t that hits extremely low (i.e. cr. lk). You might still each another SRK afterwards. Those kind of players tend to be random, and they know it, so I don’t even try to read them. I just let them do their thing, I block or dash, then you punish with what everyone has said above. Fun stuff!

O, and random note, I was playing Arcade Mode on Hardest today and when Ken showed up he played so much like the random Ken players online.

Been playing with Ryu, now trying to up my Cammy game.
In training, I’ve been working on a couple combos, one being cr. short>cr.jab>cr. short>cannon drill
Weird thing is, I can’t seem to get the cannon drill out at the end.

When I try just cr. short>cannon drill, it works fine, but at the end of the combo above, nothing happens, even though input display looks exactly the same.

Any ideas/tips on this?

Does Cammy’s Heavy Spiral Arrow do more damage than her Arial Grab?

What kind of frame traps do you guys like to use during your bnbs/block strings to punish jabbers and crouch techers? I’ve been trying find what which kinds to use and look at the kind sako does.

HK SA (2hits) = 140 dmg
HK SA (1 hit) = 60 dmg

Air Grab = 150 dmg

I tried this a few times, but ate a flash kick -.-
When Ken does a lp.SRK I usually punish with cr.HP only because at least 50% of the time they keep on mashing, hoping that you fuck up your combo. So, he does another lp.SRK and eats another cr.HP.

Does it still work if he does a EX SRK?

On Cammy’s tenth trial, I can’t for the life of me get the Cannon Spike to not whiff, no matter how fast I input it.
What’s going wrong here?

The combo is j. hk > s. hp > Cannon Spike
