The only time I have managed to land SBF is weirdly during a mirror match, and even then its hardly reliable. Yes the mask removal is a very stupid move but SBF is not that much better as it fails to accomplish its two primary functions 99% of the time. Those are:
Punish fireball spammers
Since it has armor break properties I suppose crapcom was thinking that the move would be her answer to FA or moves with armor…too bad its too slow to work for that.
The following has happened when the move was attempted:
Get hit by a second fireball chucked after the first avoided one.
Get hit by the focus attack and crumple
Jabbed out of it
SRK’d out of it
Thrown out of it
Nailed with ultra
Suffer the combo of choice from your opponent
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, the move is just bad.
Sigh. Again, I already understand that the move is very bad. Horrible, even. That doesn’t mean it’s completely useless. That’s all I’m getting at here.
Is just wanting to test it out (not even in matches) really so bad? (Hell, at least, unlike Vega’s mask throw, it actually does damage and doesn’t make her life drop to the lowest in the game.)
This is getting a bit off-topic, but I’m curious, having never really messed around with Cammy in anything else besides Marvel vs. Capcom 2: Has Spinning Knuckle ever been “good” (at what’s intended to do)?

In answer to your question yes it was good in a few other street fighters if i recall. In CvsS2 it did the job but you could SA under fireballs too. Can’t remember any of the others I think it was ok in the alpha series but its been a while so I can’t say for sure.
Also if i recall while the mask throw does make vega take more dmg I think it also makes him deal more dmg too, stupid either way but there you go.
Ex-spin knuckle is cool for avoiding an attack on your wake-up like a dragon punch. Other than that I can only really land it on predictable opponents, I have messed about with it in training to see if theres any set-ups for it but its just to slow your opponent can always react. Spin knuckle, cannon spike fabdc ultra in the corner is nice though if you ever land it!
(And 8-bit theatre and Final Fantasy are awesome :lovin: )

I can’t seem to preform Cammy’s Bnb combo ( Cr.lk-Cr.mp-Cr.lk xx HSA). I can most of her other combo’s, but this one never comes out. I can’t link the Cr.mk into HSA.

If you tried to do the BnB I just listed and you can’t get Cr.lk into HSA, it’s probably because you need to link (not cancel) the cr.lp into cr.lk.
You do that by having a very slight delay in between cr.lp --> cr.lk. From the cr.lk you need to cancel that into HSA by just doing the command as quick as possible.

Dont’ know if this has been mentioned before or if it’s elready known, but i’ve found an easier way ( at least for me) to do the Cannon spike FADC Cannonspike setup.
I use a pad and i’ve set the triangel to focus attack. I then Hk cannonspike----> FADC(keep it pressed)----> Cannonspike movement and the move will come out without having to tap any type of kick.
Haha unfortunately button mapping other from 3K and 3P raises eyebrows (at least for tournaments). x(
I like that method, but the only problem I can see is that you aren’t fully capitalizing on damage since you’re doing a MCS. If you did a HCS, you do more damage that way. You could do it by release by doing Cannon Spike (hold high kick down) >> FADC >> Cannon Spike (release high kick)
^ Well, i tested the bnb combo and i can actually do the links now. not prefect at all, but it’s a start.
As for the CS setup . I tested it with the mk and hk and with both i get: Damage 140 / Combo damage: 290. Damage for both is the same or am i doing something wrong? I tested the mk one with my costom button setup and the hk version with the default (type-A) settings.
Aw yeah man, it’s gonna take some time to get used to it and be able to turn any light punch/kick into that combo. It’s a 2 frame link which is pretty tough to get 100% of the time. xP Also, have you tried c.HP linked into c.MK cancelled into HSA? That’s a really good damaging combo to throw out. 2 frame link as well. x_X
Hmm. You should be doing 150 damage per Cannon Spike. No idea what could make it less than 300.
Also, 3K is all 3 kicks at the same time and 3S is all 3 punches at the same time.
I’ve tried the c HP linked into c.MK cancel into HSA. It’s hard indeed, but i’m determined to learn it. I think it’s ab it easier then the Bnb combo.
I hit up trainign mode again, and i should be getting 15o for the HK C.spike. I got it once, did it another ten times but kept getting 140. O’ well.
