Cammy PC players

As corny as it is to say this, you DO learn more from losing than you do from winning. It’s just that you have to NOTICE what it is you are losing to. When you get hit by things, there’s always a reason. There are very few things in SF that, if you know the opponent is going to do A, you cannot do something about it. So try and notice where you are taking the most damage, and figure out something you can do to counter that, even if it just means Blocking Ken when he gets up from the ground because Kens like to DP too much.

That’s one of the biggest keys to learning SF: figure out where you are getting hit, and learn when those situations arise, and learn the counter to that. It does require you to pay a lot of attention and stuff, but that’s the way you’ll get better as an SF player.

This does actually make some sense. And I do not think I’d call it “corny” - it sounds more like common knowledge to me. Pretty easy to forget when you feel like you’re not improving and wanna send the controller into orbit.

But thanks for the advice, James. I should find some time to do a few matches and figure out which areas I should try to improve.

Live ID is ExMachina13. Hopefully we get solid connections - I’m rusty as all hell, but my local comp has split up because of graduation… I’m trying to get back into SF4 online since it’s all I got now. ^^;

Its hard to find games on pc though. And when i do, they lag like crazy.

NOt that good, but welcome practice

Is it just me, or does the PC have major input lag? When I play offline, it feels like when I press a button, it takes a little longer for the move to come out compared to playing on my xbox…

Yeah, there’s definitely something weird about inputs on the PC version… though it manifests more as dropped inputs than lag for me. Like I can buffer a dash out of an FA/FADC pretty early on the console versions, but for some reason it won’t register on the PC unless I delay it till the end of the animation.

shrug

It could be due to a gajillion factors though - hardware and OS, USB polling rate, etc. Just try the tips in this thread:

…and cross your fingers.

I’ll have to mess around with that one of these days… hopefully it’ll work. If it does work, then playing on my PC may become my main way of playing.

ExMachina - if I get it working, I’ll totally play. I like practicing my dhalsim/flowchart Ken on PC right now. Playing Cammy on pc hurts my combos on console.

while xbox/ps are standard, on pc the input is affected by loads of stuff. your opponent pc/your pc, programs in background etc…

never really had big problems online anyway, just offline it feels slower to see the inputs

I used your awesome art for my custom Cammy stick. Makes me regret giving up on art in 2001.

GFWL: Thandrophir

I could use some practice… not a lot of people to play in G1.

I remember playing you a while back. Good cammy

if u are in g1 , im gonna get owned but thats what im looking for :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah WOW that looks awesome!

I finally got the PC version, my gamer tag is:

Newtybar

yoo newtybar, i just picked up sf4 for the pc too. are you gonna be on later?

awww, didn’t see this.

Wait, why don’t we ever play on XBL?

I actually don’t plan on playing PC that much. I bought it to occasionally practice execution during lunch (i.e. on a laptop in my Jeep lol).

whats your tag roku?

I tried joining your game in championship mode once, but didn’t join in time. haha

I’m down for some friendly matches on XBL. I like the lag on pc wayy better though. It seems much more smoother compared to the console.

My gamertag is - IDNMEI Rokubear. Hit me up for some matches!

im gonna add u both if u dont mind. u are better than me for sure and thats good practise

Oh yeah thats right, xbox uses the same system as PC lol.
