I use delayed CStrike they are easier to do
Delayed CS? Is that just a tkCS but done later? Can you enlighten me?
Yes. Just press kick with a slight delay. Or you can perform it with a reverse SPD motion (:uf::r::df::d::db::l: + :k:).
here is a random reference

Cammy’s lowest hit boxes. These are useful for dodging burn kick mix-ups, tiger knees, devil reverses and the like.
I put the lowest active frame of Ryu’s c.mk as a reference since that move is more commonly used to avoid high attacks, but it isnt even as good as cammy’s!
cool stuff :china:

check this out (dont mind the crazy play)
@1:39, cammy sweep under haduken…
here is some CH cr.fp fun that can be done on at least ibuki and chun, i havn’t tested everyone else yet. oh, this does NOT work on sagat.

Nice! This is very useful; before I never utilized hitconfirms off of CHs but now I damn well will. Thanks for this!
why do people choose to tiger knee the light kick version of cannon spike rather than hard kick? is there a benefit from light?
drops you faster, and less forward movement makes it harder for people to slide under your strike and escape the corner.
ah good shit, is there more of a frame advantage on it too? i checked the frame data and got nothing out of it
slightly since it drops faster (frame adv. on strikes is allways determined by the height you hit them at and how fast you fall)
Popular misconception.
All CStrikes have exactly same verticall movement speed, so all regular CStrikes have exactly same FA on block and on hit.
The main difference between CStrikes is the angle. Lk CStrike usually leaves you far away from the opponent (so it is harder to combo after), Mk leaves you close enough most of the time, and HK always leaves you close.
Another big difference is the attackbox, Mk and Hk CStrikes have low priority below and average in front of them, Lk version has low priority everywhere. I don’t think there’s any reason to use Lk version at all (except for maybe positioning for Sagat’s j. Hp cross-up or other things like that).
I’m not going to talk about EX CStrike becuase that’s a completely different move.
Sorry if this has been asked already, but how many frames do I have to punish a blocked Spiral Arrow? It seems like the move has no recovery at all. It gets really annoying when I play Cammys online, because they tend to do Spiral Arrow (which I block) and then an immediate kick DP (whatever it’s called) to beat my punish attempt.
im not a frame data guru… but i can tell you this much:
a well spaced spiral arrow is safe on block
if it hits you by the tip of the arrow then its safe… :woot:
otherwise SA is punishable on block… free ultra…
Yep, pretty much… Is a badly spaced SA always punishable with a direct Ultra on block?
SA has 19 active frames and has a blockstun of 20. That means that you can retaliate 20 frames after you got hit last. But only if you get hit with the first active frame. The HK version has two hits, so it’s 20 frames after that. As said above here; if Cammy hits you with a more widely spaced SA it becomes more safe. Safest is at max distance then it’s +1 on block.
In short: if you block, start mashing lp; you will hit on the first possible frame. It may look like you still have to block, but the blockstun will make sure your lp won’t come out until it’s safe. Having said that… If you get hit with a SA that is not close range this tactic will hurt.
If I block a SA that isn’t spaced right I will spam cr. lp a few milliseconds or so after the first hit and go into my bnb combo which is: cr. lp, cr. lp; cr. lk xx HK SA. This is to prevent the second hit of the HK SA to hit me. You have to actively block both AFAIK.
Hmm, interesting. I swear I’ve tried using her Low Forward to go under Tiger Knees and stuff like Ryu does, but I swear it doesn’t work as well. Maybe I’m just doing it wrong.
Low Roundhouse, though, I’ll have to keep an eye on. I remember SeikuRyu noting long ago that you could do things like meaty Low Roundhouse with Cammy vs. Balrog and if Balrog does a Headbutt on wake-up, it just completely misses Cammy. So I’ll have to play with Cammy’s Low Roundhouse some more, see if you can sweep Viper’s Burn Kicks and Tiger Knees and such.
Good find!

Actually I think Cammy’s sweep will either beat or completely miss balrog’s wakeup headbutt. I think regular headbutt cammy’s sweep wins and ex will whiff… I can’t remember now.
If the headbutt whiffs you think there’s enough time to hit the Ultra 1?
Random: I’ve been using Jumping MP in the air against Dudley. Works pretty well to stuff when met in Air-to Air.
