In that case, couldn’t you theoretically just delay the meaty SA to keep them guessing? Sure, the timing would be a bit harder, but QCF+K is probably a lot easier to input than Viper’s super jump flame kick business!

I just played a buddy on SF4, and was messing around against his chun. I’ve always had problems against Chun-Li. Her jabs are really strong. I started messing with the cr. HP tech trap type situations. Worked really well. Eventually Chun stopped jabbing everything in sight, which let me get into my usual cannon strike mixup game :smiley:

I’d say online is where this would be most effective. People online love to spam DP and jab whenever they’re facing any pressure, you’d get free cspikes all day!

after a focus attack you want to land cl hp xx CS FADC CS FADCb Ultra w/o the canon strike for more damage, also sometimes after a dizzy since the strike will scale the ultra more than its worth after anything more than 4 hits.

I had no idea that j.lk had enough hit stun to combo into c.lk altho I dont use j.lk as a cross up too much b/c its so dangerous <_<

J.LK can have enough stun to do:

cr.lk, cr.lp, cr.lk xx HK SA

but my favorite is actually

cr.lk, HK CSpike more damage less stun than Cammy’s BNB.

(This one is great as a cross up combo. Because j.lk force them to block high then they need to immediately block low, this forces your opponent to really be on his toes while blocking).

lk has to land meaty or deep in order to combo. I use lk as a cross often more often than high c.strikes. High c.strikes’ recovery is worst than a j.lk.

And j lk can indeed cross up,most easy on the bigger characters like faggat,bison… i think,I use it from time to time.

Anyone tried to do canon strike cr hp > cr hp > fs hp? :slight_smile:
I took 350 for lvl1 ultra,dont know exact value,maybe its a bit off.
Forgot to add frames on first damageblock,its 2f
This combo i made mistake,only the l version from canon spike works.

Btw something i didnt knew was that cr hp cancels into canon spike and spiral arrow,
but the timing is really weird.

I use jump lk as a cross-up quite often, especially against Boxer and Honda. I follow it with the BNB but that combo you mentioned sounds good faux I’ll have to remember that. Speaking of jump lk as a cross-up if you do back-throw then HP hooligan roll to the other side, that seems to be the perfect distance for jump lk cross-up on a crouch blocking opponent. I try and do cr.MK first time then the cross-up the next.

I use the lk cross up on everyone.

I know it misses on people like Ryu and a few others, but everyone freaks out and it leads to a good rock, paper, scissors game.

i just added a crossup lk section. I’d like to know the character list…i think DJ-B13 has the list in one of his videos (time to dig it up)

Yes, it is character specific. Kinda sucks, but people will still freak out about it.

As I mentioned on my previous posts, J.LK CROSSES ON EVERYONE but its SITUATION based NOT character based.

For Ryu, Ken, Dan, Akuma, Guile and couple of others I can’t remember, J.LK CAN cross ONLY WHILE they are getting up from a knock down which is just fine since you would only cross up after a knock down anyways. The window is small and timing is tight but can be done once you find out the timing.

Should I do a video to show the j.lk cross ups on these specific characters?

The rest can be crossed up without any special conditions.

Yeah I know when to use j.lk to cross up, I just dont think its very useful on good opponents.

First of all if someone is good they are going to block cross-ups or punish them. There are obvious exceptions to this through abiguity, but Cammy’s j.lk has to jump so far over or hit so deep that there is no doubt how it will hit. If it had a deeper hit box so you could throw it earlier like Ryu’s mk it would be better, but since it has to come out so late, its really easy to dp. I think one of the main qualities of a good cross-up is how early it needs to be blocked, therefore shortening the time to react.

It can be used but I dont think it is one of her best tools, thats all. Maybe on xbox live :open_mouth:
