Well I play Cammy hardcore shes my 2nd main and find the fight in Cammys favor because she can punish his ex psy crusher wit ultra…she can punish devil reverse wit ultra …he also cant cross her up because of reverse cannon spike fdc cannon spike for 40 percent and wit ultra 50. she can backdash out of his scissor kick traps because hers is fast and she can punish teleport wit regular drill/super/Ultra free.
He cant really do anything but short scissor kicks all day but then you can start reading them and cannon spike it or back dash low forward short drill into an okie set up.
and any time bison goes airborne, if you do cannon spike(rh ver) as soon as he leaves the ground…he’s pretty much going to get hit. if he doesn’t, you recover the same time as his devil reverse.
The combo is in this video and since an EX TK (if that’s how you call it) is used I decided to try it from a jumping kick instead or maybe a late cannon strike. Or yet looking back FA>dash forward>TK… and so on.
It’s only for fun, I’m not doing too well atm though. But it’s all about being flashy with Cammy right!

…are all unsafe on block
I have this problem because i’m used to pressure with blockstrings and end them with something safe on block (ryu c.mk, hadouken is the best example), and with cammy i can’t see on reaction, on the c.mk if the c.mk was a hit or not before i do the Spiral Arrow… and a single Spiral Arrow close on block is too punishable.
Is there any way around this, to play “safer” with cammy, or the only way is to change my playstyle and take risks?

c.HP, c.MK xx SA - fairly easy to hit confirm since c.HP has a long animation and blockstun, though it’s unlikely you’ll get it to hit cold
c.LK, c.LP, c.LK xx SA - last c.LK is a link, that’s a whole 3 hits that’s easy to hit confirm, this is probably one of Cammy’s most useful block strings
c.LP, s.MP, c.MK xx SA

Since none of Cammy’s specials are safe, it’s absolutely necessary that you learn links in order to get more hits to confirm (if they don’t land, don’t cancel into SA) and push out.
Speaking of links, anyone try out this new p-linking technique that Kirbysim just posted about?
It’s pretty amazing. Let’s take Cammy’s c.HP, c.MK xx SA link as an example - hit MK~LK for the c.MK and you’ll get it nearly 100%. Even if you mess up, you’ll likely get c.HP, c.LK xx SA instead which is still more damage than just s.HP xx DP.
What about a light spinning backfist? Its safe on block(has a shitty start up i know) but it has a couple of invincibilty frames aswell if im not mistaken, i think throwing this out every once ina while can really throw off your opponent, aswell as do some safe chip damage. The same can be said bout a light hooligan, if you do it such that your jump is out of his/her range you can land and hit the rasor edge slicer easy aswell.
But dont take my word for it because im really bad with cammy, im just throwing out some ideas that some of y’all can maybe confirm for me.
CS ->fadcf ->CS ->fadcb ->Ultra. That’s close to 600 damage, looks cool too
I was just fighting a Ryu who tried zoning/turtling me. Third round, I was at about 20% health, he was near 50%. I built up my last EX bar and baited an SRK, and that combo won the match for me. Sure I had to use a full Ultra and full Super meter, but wahtever works, it’s not like I’m Gief, whos Ultra alone does 600 dmg.
Yea but cs fadc cs fadc cs ultra is really difficult to pull of especially compared to cr.mk>SA>super. Thats a lot easier to pull off and less likely to muck up. But i guess if you can pull it off consistenly its all good.
I don’t know if this is cammy specific or not but I have fadc multipule times THROUGH ryus hurrican kick. I’ve even had a fa get inturruptered by a ex hurrican but cammy recovers while ryu is still in his ex animation frame and I was able to get a free fp cs>cs maybe this is part of the fadc system or something or cammy specific can some one tell me what happened? Or if they have experienced the same thing with cammy or with other characters.
People falling out of Ryu’s EX hurricane kick is a glitch that’s been around for the whole time. It seems to be completely random when it happens, but it happens with all characters.
As for FADC through a hurricane kick that “shouldn’t” be possible since it has armour breaking properties and will follow you if you backdash. What were the circumstances?
Ok I’ve tested this a little more and found that in mid fa if ryu is doing a hurricane kick towards you if you dash foward the instant before the kick is about to connect cammy will go straight through it to the other side! The scenario I set up is ryu doing hurricane kick at about mid screen with cammy in the corner I don’t know if the level matters but I got it to work with 1 1/2 fa DCF. Mabe other characters can utilize this? Don’t know I’ll have to test more.
Playing around with cammy I found a “glitch” which I can’t see when it would ever come in use but hp to heavy spin knuckle makes you go through the other player onto the other side.
ive done this on accident a few times… its just a way to let your opponent hit you, IMO… but if you can play mind games with it, by all means, do so^_^
Hm there is actually one glitch with her canon strike in corner.Dont know if it has been mentioned but her canon strike in the right corner can cross up on a standing opponent , but cant cross up in the left corner no matter what height or distance if the opponent is standing .
