- The OP’s explained their links…your first post has just a link.
- Those are trailers to games/movies, your thread is just about a video of cars?
Move on…
Move on…
yeah that really clears things up.
The title of my thread explained the video…should I have stated Motor Trend’s first comparo of the 2010 Camaro/Challenger/Mustang?
so videos of games/movies don’t need to be relegated to the video section, but car comparisons do? Is this stated in the rules anywhere? What about movies of cars?
All you had on your OP was a link to a video…your title doesn’t hold.
To me it was basically a video thread, and I can see I’m not the only one that saw it.
…and all the other threads were “basically a video thread”
Was there a video in the OP of that those threads? Were the thread titles specifically stating a video was in them? By the very definition they were a “video thread”
Don’t you think it’s a huge waste of bandwith to have a General Discussion forum AND a video forum regarding General Discussion…and really odd since you have no specific rules to dictate what’s ok and what’s not?
No…they aren’t.
Again, since you put NOTHING BUT A LINK TO A YOUTUBE VIDEO in your first post, it’s a video thread. You failed.
I do know that last year there was a stickie stating the video forum rules…but since it’s gone. PM the mods about it.
SO AGAIN I ASK, if I would have posted a little more detail, it would have been fine?
According to you, it STILL wouldn’t be, because only video game/movie VIDEO THREADS are fine.
Also, since there are no clear rules about this, like you can’t even give me a straight answer, how was I supposed to know?
there, I edited the OP, so now is it still considered a “video thread” or is it General Discussion.
I’m not trying to be a dick, but I’m just trying to understand some really unclear rules (unclear as in they don’t fucking exist)that you guys seem to love to flame newbs for…which in turn is a violation of an ACTUAL rule.
Depends on how you worded it…but maybe.
Point is, your thread had little content worthy of discussion.
And I said that last year there was a stickie in GD stating the video forum and its purpose…but since it’s gone, PM the mods about posting threads about a video.
And adding stuff to the OP much later won’t bring it back to GD.
If you don’t want to get in trouble, next time flesh out your first post and set everything up for a discussion. All you did was post a link, with no information as to what you actually wanted to talk about.
So people couldn’t watch the video and make a discussion about it? It’s gotta be spelled out? I mean I can understand the OP was a little vague, but come one “little content worth of discussion” is quite a big stretch.
yeah, you explained the sticky, but it’s not there and I wasn’t here last year…so how was I at fault?
Sorry man, I’m trying to understand the rules and even you don’t seem to be too clear on them.
edit: And I did PM a mod several hours ago about it but he hasn’t replied.
All you received was a warning…I don’t think warnings count against you.
it wasn’t clear that I wanted to talk about the new Camaro/Challenger/Mustang?
What did you think I wanted to talk about?
But yeah, I definately could have added more to the OP, however it’s not like I was looking for a discussion about tax deductions and what are yours for the year…I mean, it’s pretty clear where the discussion should have been pertaining.
It looked like you wanted me to watch a video. That’s the nature of video threads, ppl come in, watch the video and leave. You say nobody posts in the video forum and that’s pretty much why. So provide topics, or expect to get warned or infracted.
fair enough.
