If you catch someone with low health you can bnb into lunch rush, late DHC into Flare then lay a carpet, tag back to Tron for the unblockable

If you catch a clean hit on a full hp char you probably can’t kill by ending in Flare, I think you can still unblockable after a DHC into CF by doing carpet, meaty jump H + bandit boulder assist xx M teleport, falling S for the unblockable

you also get TAC inf with this team, you can end Dorm inf in the corner with Dark Matter, Dark Matter xx Dark Hole xx Flare to set up an unblockable

Dorm’s best assist for Tron is probably Liberation with 2D1C for the gtfo and lockdown, although you could probably wing some stuff with Dark Hole, or use pillar assist for easy OTG into beacon bomb pickups

I think in a Tron/Dorm team, Dorm is gonna function more as support than usual, kinda like how he is in Firebrand/Dorm teams: you use him for damage through DHC/TAC (although I don’t think you can get good Flare DHCs without sacrificing damage from lunch rush), for unblockables, and for Liberation assist

If you wanna play Dorm as non-support, you’re not gonna do too well cause you can’t afford to run some of Dorm’s best assists (Missiles, Jam) cause that’s gonna leave Tron gimped

Also what’s your team, if you wanna play Tron/Dorm you HAVE to have a beam in the back, Dorm/Jam or Dorm/Ammy may be good but Tron with just Jam/Cold Star isn’t gonna get in against mad fireballs

I recommend Doom beam, Strange bolts, or Shuma ray, none of them good anchors but that’s usually what you get with Dorm

Strange is pretty good cause you can try to run Liberation trap with bolts, plus Tron has ways to tag to flames loop, idk about Dorm but you can probably do CF early xx Rings into flames loop

you can do something like this with x23 and dorm as support for tron. not that she cant get to that kind of damage without help.

I actually don’t think that you can beacon bomb with pillar. I’ve tried it and it seems as if pillar just keeps bringing the other character up, no matter what the timing. I could be wrong though because I didn’t do extensive testing or anything. Just tried it like 10 times or so.

I didn’t have the full team in mind, just the Tron Dorm part. I was thinking of which neutral would be best. Like you said, you really need something like a beam or maybe arrows. I think strange is probably the best pick here. Bolts last a while and strange has been proven to be at least a decent anchor. Also strange can get the infinite off tron, but then Dorm really has no place on the team it seems. The only real issue with the strange assist is that it comes out rather slow compared to other beams so there’s really no gtfo factor there.

As for doing the dormammu infinite, I’d probably rather just do a consistent unblockable. Even the best dorms in the world land that infinite like 20 percent of the time (at least from what I’ve seen). At this point I’m not even sure anyone can land it 90 percent of the time like a doom infinite. I think I will run that team for a while and see how it goes though.

Yeah I was just guessing you might be able to use pillar like that haha, if it doesn’t work then all the more reason to just stick with Liberation, or maaaaaybe Dark Hole if you want the lockdown

Actually bolts come out fast, faster than Doom beam iirc, but he’s vulnerable anyway cause he comes out a little in front of you plus he’s out for a long time and he’s pretty big so yeah he’s not gtfo

Yeah you’re right, if you have Tron + Strange on a team, better just go with another char like Ammy or Dante instead of Dorm so you have good assists for both Tron and Strange, I just thought you wanted to keep Tron/Dorm

You can do Dorm inf without sacrificing unblockable, I’m not sure if I understand you correctly

Yeah you’re kinda right about consistency of Dorm inf, but the only hard part is the initial glitch hit because you have to time it somewhat, but after that the reps are pretty braindead, you might wanna mess with it, if you’re uncomfortable then yeah just don’t risk it but if you get the feel for the timing then good, Dorm inf is a great option to have because you get meter for Dorm shenanigans

So I decided to take a break from hard competition, so I’m playing Tron as my main team nowadays! (Tron/Doom/Vergil… don’t wanna work too hard). Real simply piece of tech: Lunchtime to Doom finger lasers DHC does crazy damage, and lets Doom tack on another Plasma beam xx Sphere flame at the end if needed. Character specific in terms of damage, but it almost always does more damage then double King Servbot. Try it!

Sir, I think that team is TOO easy LOL at least you’re back, despite the hassle you’ve given me in the past =] Instead of beam, you can rocks into sphere flame after the array DHC or do some foot dive shenanigans too. I don’t know too much about Vergil though… first thing that comes to mind after that DHC is devil trigger HSHSHSHSHSHS +_+

So I wanna redo my statement the best tron team is Tron Dante Strange. Couldn’t figure out a way to pick up from grabs and use bolts for extension s but now I have it.

Hello fellow Sky Pirates! I am a new marvel player (I know that sounds dumb since the game is “dead”. But I only got into fighters last summer and marvel is sooooooo fun) and I wanted to suggest a team of Tron with Rocket Racoon wielding either spitfire or pendulum, and strange with eye of avocado. I feel good potential with these three and would like to know the opinion of all of you guys.

I’ve been experimenting with Tron/Modok/Morrigan and that team has all sorts of shenanigans in it.

Tron/Modok: The main point is the DHC Jamming Bomb that it utilizes, but also the incoming setups off of DHCs into Modok is really good too. While getting trampled, analyze and when the character dies (not hard to do) put up a mega dorito and watch them panic when you bring Tron back in. I like to use boulder assist since the first half of the assist stays stationary while Modok is doing his movement thing and setting up. Boulder is also a combo extender that I haven’t been able to effectively replicate with the other assists, but they may all have their own variations of really flashy combos.

Tron/Morrigan: I’ve always played Morrigan anchor with Shadow Blade assist, so that is a good get-off-me assist as well and if predicted right, can lead to enormous damage with silly combo extenders and resets. The DHC potential with her is even better because of her duplication (install super) when you Takeout. When they land into it, you can slam them with 6 Soul Drains which takes about 2 bars of meter, then soul spam immediately after. Not only that, but with Morrigan being Shadow Blade assist, any THCs done with Morrigan as point are invincible because of the Shadow Servant hyper having startup invincibility. That means majority of the time, King Servbot will show up even though Tron is getting hit, and that leads to a dead character 80% of the time (Not to mention Dark Phoenix has to immediately block once turning, even if they get blown back).

Modok/Morrigan: Morrigan serves as a combo extender and between the two, there is a hard tag combo following the balloon bomb mid combo. Since he can put a dorito out, then hyper into DHC install, it’s easy to soul spam and not worry about a lot of things.

Problems: Modok is incredibly difficult to use. Tron is a hard character to get a hit with already, but it’s not painfully hard to do or follow through with. Modok requires so many buttons that it feels wonky even playing him. His assist is amazing, but it feels like Modok is a harder character to get a hit with than Tron is. It may be just muscle memory, but that’s what I’m running into at the moment. I feel like there’s lot of power behind that team though. I just wanted to post this here and see what kind of feedback would be given on it. I’d really like to get this team going before EVO comes.

I want to run a team around Tron. Right now the team is Tron/RR/Sentinel. I’m still fairly new to team building, so if this team doesn’t work, why or why not? If it doesn’t, what should I place instead of RR and Sentinel. I know Tron/Frank is a really good shell, but I don’t know why anyone is a good shell. Also, what about Dormammu as mid, and who should be anchor?

How does this team sound? I just pulled it off online. Tron (Gustaff Fire) / Frank (Shopping Cart) / Wesker (Samurai Edge)
