I have to say that having 3 SF2 events is going to make me even more inclined to try to make coming work out. For people like me that don’t really want to play SSF4, this really makes it more worth it. If I can make it I can bring some stuff (360, extra sticks) if you need them.

This is getting into ‘stick lag’ Due to the nature of the USB protocol, I think any PS3/Xbox 360 converter is going to introduce at least 1 ms of latency (that’s about 1/17 of a frame), in practice, it’s probably closer to 1.5 to 2 ms.
Some back of the envelope calculations suggest that each ms of lag is about equivalent to 1/5 of a turbo step in HDR for fast reactions - 2 ms is probably not enough to cause any play issues.

Oh yeah… well what can I say, I always said if I was going to run HDR as part of something I was going to do it right and that means running Classic / Remixed / Remixed teams… I don’t want to play with the unwashed masses anymore than the rest of you :D. So we bring our own 360s, a couple TVs I run brackets and BOOM! Instant ST / HDR day… we can make it an annual national holiday too…
Oh and in February I can imagine Robocop probably doesn’t know how to drive in snow either… its hard living in SoCal… my heart bleeds for him… 
So I’m trying to figure out if I can afford this trip. Is anyone living in the area willing to let me crash at their place for the two nights, or is anyone renting a hotel room nearby willing to share it? I’m a grown-up and won’t trash your place. :wgrin:

So you guys know, the tourney info has been updated. Classic Mode is the “Official” tourney but that will run later and we’ll try to do HDR singles / teams earlier in the day. The sooner we can get started in the day the better since I want to run 3 SF2 style tournaments in the same day! Anyone who can bring 360s / TVs / A couple extra sticks… would be a huge blessing. If I can’t get your venue fee paid then I’ll just pay it myself out of pocket for your help.
HDR Teams will be Remixed. 1A v 2A / 1B v 2B / [Winner A v Winner B if not on same team]. I don’t expect huge teams turn out, probably no more than 8 teams so I think this way will work fine and that way we won’t watch our point guys play the entire night :D.
Just booked my flight and hotel, staying at the La Quinta Inn a couple blocks away from the venue. If anyone is up for sharing the room somewhere from the 18th to the 20th, I’d be happy to.
Silver, what time are you planning to start the SF2 goodness? Still planning on going (fingers crossed), I’ll bring my 360 and a couple of sticks with me, don’t have an extra TV to bring, though.

It says hdr is being run on 360 not dc in the thread. What hotel is everyone staying in if I can go I’ll bring my 360 assuming hotels have tv’s without the cable fiasco that was evo:rofl:
Okay, so I know that Classic is being run at 6 or something. I’d like to get HDR singles and teams ran earlier in the day. Everything will be run on 360. I’m working out some details so keep your attention right here.
