Now that it’s mentioned - I think having more ‘objective based’ equipment would be an awesome step…not like you cn only use it for those types, but weapons that excel at more specific things.
Touching on the MW2/BO comparison, my dislike really came from the lack of variety…like I couldn’t make a ‘silly’ class and succeed…the guns wre very homogeneous - and thus trying ot change things up certain ways wasn’t very effective, it was like gimping yourself - yet in MW2, for instanc I could strap up my ‘infamous’ akimbo vector setup and put in work, of course I have short comings beyond say 15 feet, but I know where I’m good, and I can stay in that realm of effectiveness and be different in my own little way…and still accompliush my goal. For all the complaining about certain guns in MW2, being honest - more than 50% of them seem OP, which means really - subtracting stopping power - the guns are actually pretty inline with each other, there’'s always going to be differences in effectiveness, but look at it like this
ARs
M41A - good
FAMAS - I hate it but others feel its near broken
SCAR - awesome gun (wack bullet count and reload, but awesome outside of that)
TAR - mediocre recoil, but still an awesome gun
FAL - the gun that people spend real money modding their shit to use because its good
ACR - as Hotobu says - "it’s practically a laser"
F2000 - the G18 of ARs, does great at footsy range to mid-range…like a TAR wit ha vertical recoil, prolly the weakest AR in the scheme of things
AK-47 - so awesome they had to add sway to it
I mean really…all the ARs are in the upper echelon of guns
LMGs
L86 - poor sites, but great at mid range, fast reload for an LMG, IMO the most aggresive of the LMGs - best at burst but still good
RPD - one of the best guns in the game IMO
MG4 - one of the best long range guns in the game, slap ACOG or thermo on for best results
AUG - have you seen the damage and ACC on it? Anything short of ACOG on it and it rocks out with its cock out
M240 - the most mediocre of the LMGs, but that fire rate will get some pretty good multikills. Needs grip
Sniper rifles
Intervention/Baretta - we know…spin in a circle and pop someone in the chest
Wazoo/EBR - decent sniper rifles, pretty medocre guns in the scheme of things
SMGs
UMP - best gun in game? I wouldn’t fight that title.

But I mean real talk, you can use 80% of the primary guns without feeling gimp or needing a real specialized setup like bling or NEED SoH to make useful…so even in the imbalance of it all there is still a LARGE balance compared to games like SF3 or SF2X or Tekken or MvC2.
Removing Stopping Power? I’m FINE with that, I’d like it more if they got rid of danger close and made Bling a teir 2 perk… I’m fine with a MW2.5. And if they change things more I’m fine with it, swo long as they don’t try and ‘balance’ everything against itself.

Make it unbalanced. If you choose to make a setup then the weapon of your choice comes from one or the either game. Have one side be all MW2 perks, killstreaks, etc and have another all BO’s. Mix the maps up and let people raise all hell.
Balanced = Same guns different perks/attachments
Unbalanced = Too many weapons to counter

Jae: Yeah I just gave up and started using the “douchebag” class set-up. SMG’s in BO’s are ass and the few that are useable get blown up in CQC fights by Assault Rifles =/ Unless you’re packing Rapid Fire…oh well. That reminds me I needa make that OMA+DC class
