The tournament was awesome. First time really playing socal 3s players and fuck, you guys are great. Talking with you guys about 3s and playing against you all opened my eyes up a bit more. I’m definitely glad I came out, not only for the games we all got in, but for hanging out during and after the tourney. Just talking random shit was great, don’t have to play games to have fun… haha.
It’s really too bad that all the 3s players are scattered across the U.S. It makes it that much more difficult to get better and learn from one another, but we gotta make due with what we’ve got, yeah? I like the sound of that Sado Metropolis though… haha.
To all the people that hate 3s because Chun/Yun/Ken ALWAYS win: Here you go. I had an extremely difficult bracket [Amir/Ken I/Vinny/5star, these people are known for a reason], so it wasn’t like I just cruised on by. Yi whooped my ass in winner finals, too [badly]. However, I stuck with a mid-tier character and played hard, and it paid off. That’s why I fucking hate it when people say only the top 3 win: those people don’t want to put in the effort to get hella good with another character and prove them wrong. Pick who you want in 3s [except for 12 and Sean, they suck], play, learn, adapt and do your thing. It’s not easy, but it’s definitely possible.
Also - homegirl is done with me. :lol: Seems she found someone else while I was in socal and forgot all about me (that might be due to the concussion ahahahaha god damn). ALL GOOD. I wouldn’t have missed hanging out with you guys for that.

good tourney/arcade. only suggestion would be to expand denjin arcade somehow so we can have some room to breath, walk, scratch our balls, etc. maybe if denjin makes a nice profit in the future they could buy out spaces next door or move to a bigger facility?

ok, its wednesday and I think I’m kinda recovered enough to give my thoughts. I was extremely sick the entire tourney(I hid it well and was drugged up), so my apologies to any of my homies that thought I was acting a little strange at times.
I had a fun time tho. Denjin is a coo place! ARCADE 4 LIFE! It’s just great seeing a lot of old faces in one place. I Really wish I coulda stayed to play in the tourneys on sunday, but the tourneys were starting way too late and taking too long =(
I just wanna say tho, HD remix tourney was the suck =( I dunno, maybe cuz I was really sick and out of it, or the game just didnt feel right to me at all. The game wouldn’t even let me do rapid fire weak attacks, which is extremely odd. This was the main tourney i was looking forward to, and I was really bummed by how “odd” it was. =( I pretty much quit after the 1st game.
SF4 was a good learning experience. We don’t get much comp or quality matchup experience out in AZ due to sf4 costing us 1.50 to play(it’s brutal). I definitely learned a lot. But what I learned the most, is that balrog is a celebrity in socal. I cant believe the number of rogs out there, its nuts!
