hmm i’ll explain the regen thing… and my draw

played some dude from neo wave (mike)… and i used msp and he used capcom/spiderman/guile and i won 2-1 . HAHAH i can’t believe i lost one…

played some dude named lester won 2-0
played regent… used mag/sent/cyc and got ocv’d the first game (this is because regent “doesn’t play marvel” (sent/mag/capcom) so i’m like wtf… fuck this shit… back to basics… storm/cable/doom and regent loses the next 2 so he used sent/mag/cyc to counter… so ray wins 2-1

arnie somehow eliminates shane from the winners bracket and i play him in the semis. (t-bonne killed shanes psylcoke, and that was the end…and ken is too good)

i play arnie. win 3-0 most disappointing “epic” battle between me and arnie in ages… i was using mag/sent/cyc vs ken/sent/tbonne/ cable/sent/ironman

regent is in losers bracket and plays byron, he beats byron first game with sent/mag/capcom and byron used team scrub… after the 1st game, byron uses mag/cable/doom and beats regent 2-1

DOOM owns regent for free.

shane beats byron, arnie leaves so shane gets to play me in the finals. (bye)
so i used. sent/storm/capcom against mag/sent/psy and i win the grandfinals 4-1

on a side note…i wanted to quote his brother up top… “Shanes magneto is nothing” i agree…his mageneto is nothing… until he touches you… LOL hahaha shane when he first started the night was stopping my winning streaks … then before the finals started i played some more with him and i was doing better on him. overall his mags is good. like arnie says, if you can contain a magneto you will win. so yeah… the finals was crazy… his mag would snap back my aa assist and i’d be making insane comebacks with a storm/sent the rest of the match. fun matches. oh well. gg’s

Actually I think Regent played Sent/Cable/BH against my team scrub first and I lost that one. Then I switched to Mag/Cable/Doom and won that one when my two other characters got killed and all I had was Doom. Still not too sure what happened. Then Regent switched to Sent/storm/cyke and I won that one. Still… it was a fluke.

Let me share a bit of what happened in the 3rd strike tourney…THE HIGHLIGHT-------2nd round of winner’s bracket when Ian(ken from previous player) played Ray(chun li): (we don’t set the thing in event mode any more)

  1. throughout our match, every time Ray got thrown, you heard these words “WTF!!!”
  2. then few seconds later, when Ian hit Ray with mp,hp,hadokenXXsuper, you heard these words “WTF!!!”
  3. When Ray knew he was losing, and started running with Chun Li, you heard him laughing and having a great time like a moron(j/k) :clap:

I remember one of my games against Long. He had a sliver of life left so I decided to go for my Chun SA 2 super. He blocked the first round of hits, then when chun switches legs he starts to red parry. He got all of those ones, but missed the final vertical kick. Whew. That was close. He had 2 full super meters to use on me after that. I won the round but lost the match.

haahah i’m pulling an ian and byron… when you won cvs2, and when he won cvs2.

anyways… personally i want to say how good the competition was that tourney, like wow… i swear before we started the tourney, i didn’t know who was going to win. for cvs2 i know who the final two were going to be… BUT in marvel SOO MANY UPSETS and SOO many crazy matches… i doubt you would have predicted who would have won mvc2…
i’m inspired to retire my zangief team now. but meh… we’ll see… i doubt it… lol

byron was cool as a cat while i was parrying. i dunno about him but i envisioned myself in daigo’s shoes. and daigo yu almost came through on the last hit. i was so sure about wasting chunli’s half life cuz i had 2 supers and i’d throw her in the corner. but, no, i missed the easiest one. so, yeah, i’m gonna ride daigo’s cock some more.

ian: of course. i’d parry any random supers anytime. erim knows first hand about trying to chip Long to death with ibuki’s supers…cuz Long just parries them.

mak’s supers are easy to parry. pretty slow. it’s like parrying akuma’s red fireball+2 more hits. easy operation. it’ll probably surprise me first time though. but it’s not too tricky. i know a couple stupid tricks that go with mak’s sa2. so yeah, i know what you gonan do…

finally, sonson is godly. all sentinels are going down to my monkey. but would someone please…tell me how to use omega red and sentinel…i know i’m 5 yrs late but sonson, omega, sent is my first mvc2 team. haven’t beat 3 stage of the game yet, but i’m coming.

If Makoto’s SAII is the “hit in the nut” move, then yes he’s already parried that before - the whole five hits. I know because he parried my Makoto. And yes, he can parry the dagger, but that’s why Ibuki’s SA2 is so sweet.

as for beating sent with sonson, i don’t know yet. i need to fight a real sent first. or just any human sent. with assist.

First of all, you totally underestimated a fucking Sentinel with Anti-air assist… From my previous experience of being the victim to a Sentinel… I can honestly tell you that unless your Sonson can somehow do an one hit kill infinite on Sentinel or you have a cable-like super, there is no shit ass way that you can kill a sentinel. You won’t catch me, nor will you even hurt him at all… one simple combo of sentinel=2 to 3 of your super on him in terms of damage. :wow:

Back to 3s, the Ian’s era just begun… what makes you think you can win one when my Makoto is in your way? :tup: Ohhhhh… shit! You have the tape of Moe playing, that’s going to give you a huge advantage since everything I do came from Moe in the first place… HAHAHAHA… study those tapes if you want your first 3s crown. :tup:

Tekken 5 is still the best… Garett, Raj and Lester are getting better at the game already. Garett used to be a Tekken player even before Tekken 5 came out. We now have the biggest fighting game group ever, Tekken alone has like 20+ hardcore fans which is like never happened in the history of Calgary besides the KOF98 days. :pleased:

park you car in the Art Parkade if you are going to stay to after 12am on Saturday… because it is free parking. Come early, park in the Art Parkade, take the ticket when you enter, then when you leave after 12am, those guys are off work so nobody will charge you and you get out of there for free. so this Saturday is “Revenge tourney Saturday”, using the previous bracket for our next tourney so people can have rematches with their previous opponent in the first round, or you can demand a match with someone(equal or better than you, I am the judge) in the first round.

Also, please show up early if possible, for the owner will only put Tekken 5 on free play if we have 20+ people early. Or you can give me a definite confirmation that you are coming, and I will put your name down first. Thanks guys for your co-operation. Really appreciate it. :tup: :tup:
