i have zero experience with MOBAs but i did manage to complete the Tutorial for Heroes of the Storm. it’s pretty cool i guess. i’ll give it another shot tonight.

my brother said the dota tournament this past weekend had some of the best matches in the history of dota in them
hots looks neat, but i’m kind of offended by the pricing model

The DAC DoTA tourney was really good. Much more entertaining than TI4. Almost the best DoTA tourney ever, second only to TI3 I would say.
The big story of the tourney was there was a bunch of roster shifts before it started. The most notable being Arteezy and Zai leaving EG for Team Secret. EG had to scramble somewhat to replace them, they got aui_2000 who was kicked from c9 (a team notorious for always getting second and constantly choking, which they did in this tourney, choking that is), and sumail a 15 year old newcomer to the professional scene and obviously quite untested in these high stakes matches.
With this roster changes Secret was expected to win the whole thing since adding Arteezy and Zai basically made them one of, if not the most stacked team in history since the other three members are previous TI winners. The group stages made this point even further with Secret going 15-0. However they ended up third losing to VG, the top eastern team, and EG, which many saw as a big upset. The EG match was what sent them home and there was quite a bit of added drama with the late roster changes and people thinking there might be bad blood between former teammates.
For the finals everyone then thought that VG would once again trounce EG, as they had beat them in the previous match, and other earlier tourneys. With Secret out it looked like VG would continue to be the most consistent DoTA team. In the end though Sumail ran a fucking train as solo mid. The rest of the team also played out of their mind, but I think the big story is Sumail. I believe he just recently moved to America, he is 15 and he just won likely the most stacked DoTA tourney of all time with a prize pool of over 3 million.

It’s official. Spider-Man gets to be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The timing seems to imply that he’ll be in Civil War after all… And it’s a ‘new’ Spider-Man. I’m as giddy as a school girl knowing Andrew Garfield is finished.
But now the question is… Are they going to go with Peter Parker or Miles Morales? Miles is an awesome character… but Parker IS Spider-Man and he’s never had a good live action representation of the character. So I hope Parker gets another chance with Marvel doing the casting (Marvel has already said they had a much different vision for what Spidey would be, and that it was nothing like Garfield’s Spidey. So I have a lot of faith…)
I think the general audience associates Spider-Man with Peter Parker. Doubtful they will go with Miles Morales as it will just create confusion. But all in all… great news.
Yeah, it’s just that there’s been some rumours floating around (like the one where Sony and Marvel made an agreement…). And Miles is joining the main Marvel comics universe soon, so it kinda makes sense if they want to push him. But yeah, probably Peter.
My number one wish though is that Simmons comes back as J.J ;).
Oooo this could also mean we might see Norman and his Dark Avengers one day… Since they can’t have Doom yet, I guess Norman is the next best thing.

imagine it when there’s no physical releases. games like marvel 3 can literally be erased from existence to all new customers at the touch of a button.
