i think he liked it

I think on paper, chun li might be top tier.
Not in power and health.

Shes excels in mobility, technique and range.

Well… Judging from the site.

edit; nvm, shes bottom in terms of health and power.
hehe, too early to make bold statement about tier listing anyways.

cho’gall is fucking awesome

next step is to try him in hero league, it’s hard to gauge how effective his is when both teams have him every single game, you never get to see how the lack of a body in teamfights will impact things

I agree. Some people are have tried though.

LPN’s tier list on the latest SF5 build
S R Mika
A+ Karin, Vega, Bison
A Nash, Rashid, Cammy
A- Nacalli, Birdie
B+ Ken, Laura, Chun, Ryu

what does mika have that would make her S tier?

other than that sweet, sweet 3d butt.

From LPN

PROS
• Her damage and stun output is monstrous
• Conversion rate is high
• Very easy execution
• V-Trigger is very versatile with the option to delay or not during activation
• Drop kick (practically a dive kick), has a lot of advantage for an interaction
-> crush counter property
-> plus on block [charged version = 1 second and/or more]
-> can combo on hit for huge damage [st.mp ->st.hp xxx flying booty]
-> low risk/high reward [due to damage/stun output, she is more willing go in and take risk as she can dish out way more than her opponent can on a hit by hit basis)
• Only character to have more than one wake up EX option in the current cast: EX Command grab (throw invincible) + EX Clothesline (1 hit of armor)
• Her mix up game is damaging but simple as you can stun your opponent it a short sequence

CONS
• Walk speed is below average
• V-Skill recovery

Intredasting, intredasting.

Overwatch beta weekend starts tomorrow morning by the way, they’re unleashing a lot more (temporary?) invites for the weekend starting today so check your accounts boys!

i still think vega is the best in the beta

mika is pretty good though

ryu feels really stiff and i don’t know how to use any of his normals, specials, v-skill, and v-trigger. lol. the only thing he seems to have going for him is a reliable anti-air and standing LK. but from like any other range, i really have no idea what to press. everything is so stubby and everything is so unsafe.

I got in the overwatch beta!

Me too!

But if it’s just the temporary weekend thing… I’m super sad because of course it’s the one weekend I’m going out of town… sniffles

capcom confirming that they plan to release 6 DLC characters next year on a regular schedule (so about one every 2 months)

what do you guys think of this idea

some people were upset with KI when they released 1 character a month because it was a lot of new stuff to constantly learn (while others really liked the constant flow of content and being able to get excited for stuff in the future). i imagine because sfv will be the main game for a lot of people, it will probably be easier to keep up with new content, but is a new character every 2 months (and presumably some changes to other characters here and there in each patch) too often?

I’m down with that, 1 every 2 months is plenty of time to adjust and it keeps the game fresh for a lot longer.

sure, they mind as well do that because theres only 16 characters so far. and a lot of sf fans are sad their honorary character didn’t make the cut.

if they’re gonna do that, they mind as well go all the way and release the whole fcuking cast every 2 months. mind as well.
I wanna play sagat again in sf5.

Do you have the full character breakdowns anywhere?

im fine w/ one character every 2 months. i would be fine with it being faster, honestly.

Goodbye, Greg. It was nice knowing you.

Also… me too.

I wouldn’t mind once a month either. I think there’s more than enough lab monsters to find tech in that month. Look how fleshed out the ultra characters got.

Also sang when has low health ever been a problem with high tier characters? Seth, Akuma, phoenix, Elena etc etc. If a character has all the tools needed in said game then hp isn’t really a deciding factor in tiers.

Low health is always an awful way to balance a character. Just because you don’t have to hit him as much does not make them any less busted (unless we’re talking like dead in 1 hit).

I agree man. It works in some cases though. I’ve always wondered how strong makoto would have been if she had as much hp as gief lol.
