1. Mom’s royal egg casserole on xmas breakfast.
  2. Mom’s cinnamon buns, also on xmas breakfast.

Turkey et all is overrated, it can stay with thanksgiving.

Alright sounds good.

yea turkey is overrated for sure. ill eat it on the day but after that i have no interest in turkey at all. no turkey butties or anything.

also it goes without saying but xmas pudding is a must. that doesnt really seem to be a thing over here that much. i got one from safeway this year and they only had like 1 kind to choose from, it was like 10 dollars plus it was fucking tiny as well. i actually had my parents bring one over for me last year from the UK.

plus apparently canadians arent that hot on mince pies either? it is very important that the ratio of filling to crust is right though. nothing worse than a dry mince pie. if you have a bad one i can see it would definitely put you off eating them.

We do Hungarian Christmas so it’s all stuff you’ve never heard of hipster shades

But it’s seriously the best meal of the year.

my family’s stuffing is godlike, the only stuffing i’ll ever enjoy

All that is purely UK stuff. I don’t even know what UK Christmas pudding is supposed to be, from what I understand it’s some sort of bread thing with raisins in it? Does pudding mean something different in the UK? Around here one pictures a sugary creamy dessert when one hears “pudding”.

Burgers are the big thing we do with beef here, not meat pies. All the mom & pop shops here sell burgers and donairs instead of pies. I have always wanted to eat a steak pie though.

Also, holy shit I just tuned into the Flames/Oilers game and we’re ahead 3-0 in the first with six minutes left. Jesus Hammer Christ.

Yeah, Christmas pudding is basically a more delicious fruit cake you light on fire with booze. My dad makes it every year cus his side is from the UK. So we also get meat pies/shepherd pies regularly. Don’t be jelly.

Chicken Paprikash? That stuff is awesome.

I have it on good authority that SFV takes place right after 3rd strike. Likely a bunch of 3S characters are gonna make it in.

You’re smart… A little too smart…

Also Lesco (pepper stu), stuffed paprika and cabbage and like 6 types of sausage… And these crazy amazing onion potatoes. It’s weird because I grew up thinking this was the most amazing food, and then you go to Budapest and realize it’s all peasant food. There’s fast food joints and markets that sell this stuff. “High-class” Hungarian food is just French food basically.

Edit: wasn’t that post SF3 thing confirmed somewhere? That’s what everyone has been saying everywhere…

Good.

I honestly don’t even know what a lot of the SF2 characters were doing in SF4. Most of their stories went absolutely nowhere.

Probably a sure bet since Charlie has that Illuminati gem on his forehead like Urien and Gill,

Dhalsim turned Charlie into Blanka and that’s all there is to it.

I’ll see you guys at Dickens tomorrow. Maybe it’s time for GGXrd ranbat?

what the shit did i just watch

Charlie’s real name is Carlos Blanka and that’s all you need to know.

If you don’t know what Mr.Show is I feel bad for you, son.

i think xmas pudding over here is what you guys call plum pudding? i dunno i havent eaten the one i bought yet so i dont have a comparison.

when you say pudding in the UK that pretty much just covers anything dessert related. i dont even know what you would call like vanilla/choc pudding over there actually.

and yea josh steak pies are good but steak pudding is where its at. my god those things are fucking delicious (its basically a steak pie but with a different kind of pastry around it, pudding is soft where a pie is more like crusty)

You just watched an amazing skit from arguably the best sketch comedy to ever grace god’s green earth.

I’d like to try a mince pie… never have!

I just need my newfie Sunday dinner stuff for Xmas. We say Sunday dinner but nobody actually bothers to cook it on Sunday nowadays except on holidays. Salt beef, boiled cabbage and turnips/rutabaga, and peas pudding.

Throw some gravy on that shit and it becomes a holiday.

i ate really well on christmas/boxing day

i don’t like mince meat very much and i’m not a huge fan of cabbage dishes
