had a pretty dark night. got caught up in watching breaking bad brutality from last night and it got me feelin pretty down. then i got stuck in a horrific section of reddit and watched that miley cyrus video. this was like a tonic for my soul. thank you sweet little girl. i hope taylor swift was great.

GTA games have always been fun for like an hour or two while you cause some carnage, but that’s about it.

Its making me curious, even though i’ve always felt that way about GTA games as well.

If it has DAT KUNG FU SHITS that Sleeping Dogs had, and the rest of the GTA universe. I’d play it.

I played the shit out of San Andreas though. Everybody always talks about these “sandbox” games, that was the only one I played in like it was a sandbox. That one and Oblivion I guess.

GTA4 felt so clunky and slow, didn’t give a shit about the story since you couldn’t buy into it at all… “Oh no I wanted to start a new life in America and not kill people” when I finally killed a guy in a cutscene, but I already had a body count in the low 100s by that point. Having to unlock the full city was fucking annoying too, I think I only ever ran around the first two areas and never did anything in the last part.

GTA5 me and Jamie split the cost 50/50 so I’ll feel less ripped off when I inevitably stop playing it and go back to FGs
but the online mode does sound really really cool

GTA games have always felt soulless to me. They basically do everything, but none of it exceptionally well.

You wouldn’t want to play through an entire game that focused on a single one of its aspects. The driving portion or melee combat or gunfights or fetch quests would get old pretty fast. You would think the game was shit and had sloppy controls.

It’s kinda weird because you’d think I would love these games since I really like looking under every rock to find stuff, but GTA just doesn’t do anything for me.

I guess I don’t feel invested because nothing has any real consequences. Feels a little like a Bethesda game.

Best thing about GTA games is the music.
