That’s a cool nod, but it’s only relevant as far as Hank is concerned. I don’t see any parallels with the other characters. Not saying it wasn’t deliberate on the writers’ part, but I can’t see it being more than an inside joke. I’d be a little disappointed if the whole framework of the series was based on another book.

when it comes to Jesse I think Walt wasn’t calculating anything. instead, he blamed Jesse for what happened to Hank since Hank never would have gotten to put himself in that situation wihout Jesse’s help. he just wanted to hurt Jesse, therefore, telling him about Jane. but that phone call at the end to Skylar was probably 100% calculated for the benefit of the police… him taking everything upon himself to keep the heat off of her

Of course he did, he planned it to begin with. The whole reason he took holly was so Skylar would stop, call the police on him and give him the opportunity to try and clear his family of any accountability for what he has done. He is beyond the point of no return, which isn’t the case for his family.

Who the fuck knows whats going to happen next episode, walt ended up leaving with Sauls guy, which will in return explain the flash forward… but what happens in between… I’m at a loss lol, theres too much to explain in a short span of 2 episodes.

Walt Jr. screams in fear of not finishing his breakfast, attempts to eat it all before they’re taken captive.

Dug you see how after those crazy fills at the beginning when he’s playing that hi hat beat he hits the snare repeatedly really quickly and quietly, but then accents the snare hard with a big hit? The quiet ones are the ghost notes. You don’t often hear them in recordings but when you watch a live video or isolate drums they stick out. I call lots of ghost notes ghosting. It creates a nice, shuffly high tempo sound.

I ghost a lot in basic blues / funk measures but a highly syncopated beat like 16th note single pedal bass such as in wax simulacra WHILE ghosting so hard is pretty fuckin tough
