Since the beginning of SF4, sure (for the record, SF4 arcade came out in Japan in summer 2008, and came out for consoles in February-ish 2009, so it’s been about 4 years). I was talking more about your thought of Capcom releasing yearly new fighting games, like the Call of Duty model… I don’t see how it will work for the players or the companies.

oh no doubt. i didnt meant to say there should be a new SF every year. im totally against that. just saying that even 5 years is too long imo.
cause realistically, by the time SFV comes out, it’ll be at least 6-7 years since the release date of SFIV.

its already been 5(?) years since SFIV came out in japan.

I think SFxT was supposed to be the “Alpha” equivalent to SF4. This means we have probably another 2-3 years of SFxT ‘updates’ before we see anything like SFV.
