I must be the only person in the entire FGC who knows absolutely nothing about League. Some days I feel a bit left out but most of the time I don’t really care, lol. Though I kind of get the feeling that one day the entire FGC will just migrate over to League and there’ll be no players left.

It’s the long match length that puts me off trying to get into it. FGs are good because you make a mistake, you lose the match, 2 minutes later you’re playing another one. And studying your favorite characters can be done in bite-sized chunks, a few minutes at a time. Would suck to make early mistakes in a moba and then either have to quit or play out a losing game for 20+ minutes, all while getting yelled at by 4 other people?
I respect people who are good at them though. The amount of book knowledge required to know everything is incredibly daunting.
Because its soooooo difficult to combo jab into rekka or stand mp into jab. You only have like a millions frames to do it.

Elena’s super goes from 14 frame start up to 5 frame start up. Whose bright idea was it to have it 14 frames in the first place? lol

on second thought the spiderman tech doesnt seem all that great. seems you need to super and the assist to hit on the same frame or something like that which is probably impossible to do on purpose.

dark souls diary #5
got killed by seath, ended up in the prison archives. after fighting my way out of all the gunk down there, i managed to move the staircases and get out to the crystal forest, find seath, and cut his head off. basically i just equipped a full havel set and tanked out his attacks while mashing R1 / pyromancy stuff. we traded (?) and died together, but i got the soul and the kill was registered by the game. so that’s nice. after that i wandered around the woods for a while to see what was out there, and found the hydra that shoots you with those giant water projectiles. that fight was pretty easy at this point, although i didn’t really get much for killing him.
around that area is also the DLC portal, so i talked to the princess lady and got grabbed by the big horrible monster hand that pulls you into the past. fought the first guardian boss (manticore? chimera?), beat him on try #5 or so, and explored the forest after that for a while. seems kinda empty, but i stumbled into the fight with knight artorias. i really like the armor / character design for him. really menacing and seems like a great fight, although i haven’t beaten him yet … whenever i expect to be able to punish something he sometimes just does an additional hit and i get smacked around. maybe i’ll try again with a lower equip load so i can dodge faster (?).
theres a severe hole in that entry, a lack of WTF towards the crystal caves… that shit was a big WTF the first time you go there without looking anything up

as for artorias (easily the best character in the Dark souls lore, along with his trusty companion cough) fast roll makes it a lot more doable, you have to be really patient. I’ll say that much~

I just played derryk for the last long while, im pretty burned out
coolest character in dark souls lore is Ornstein. He’s stronger than Artorias, captain of the four knights and can slay dragons by himself. He is so shrouded in mystery whereas you know a great deal of basically every other elite knight of Anor Londo. I would looooove to have a little more Ornstein-related content. He is a fierce and peerless warrior renowned only for his skill and honor. Artorias, Gough, and the Hornet lady all have more to their character but Ornstein, you know just enough to be fascinated by him.
Smough is really cool too but again you know a lot about him. I love Ornstein and Smough because they are like, the master class example of how the writers undoubtedly started with some ideas and OnS were eventually sown. I love that fight and the concept behind it. Ornstein’s armor is fucking awesome. Ornstein rules. Ornstein.

also yeah artorias is a tough boss. Good luck. Last boss there in DLC content will probably take you a lot of tries.
