i wanted to play more brawl but marvel happened

bloops

Just a reminders, FGCC casuals are back on tonight at six, this week features a TTT2 ranbat

I chuckled a bit at the picture, if it makes you feel better.

Judging a Melee tournament is pretty easy. The beginning stage is random (from a preset list; you can code this into the memory card you load onto each system so it’s easy), and then the loser gets to pick the next stage (from a preset list which includes a few more stages than the random list). I think each player can veto a stage from the counterpick list at the start of the set. That’s pretty much it, no special rules outside of that like in Brawl.

Evo is welcome to do what they want, but the Smash community won’t take it seriously if they allow items on (especially for Melee). It’d be kind of dumb for them to assume they know more about the game at a tournament level than the people who’ve been playing it for 10 years, so I’m gonna hope they just adopt the standard Melee ruleset and use that. But yeah, the equipment is a big concern. Need to use Gamecubes or Wiis and neither will connect to Evo monitors. It would be the only tournament where they needed equipment outside their PS3s and monitors to play. Don’t really see how they’re gonna do that.

dark souls diary entry #4

talked to dug, apparently i did the entire game wrong. i never went to the depths or upper blighttown, i just took the back entrance from the valley of the drakes and skipped all that stuff. anyways, i wanted to reward myself for taking on anor londo, so i wandered over to where i saw the moonlight butterfly and took him out w/ the help of the local summon. pretty easy at this point, all i did was block and wail on it’s face when it came to rest. also, i went to undead burg and kicked the shit out of havel. now that i have his ring i have something like 120+ equip load, so i can wear the havel set without fat rolling my way through lordran.

after that, i stumbled my way over to the lower burg - i killed the capra demon earlier, so i had the key to the depths, and jumped in. also easy at this point, all the rats died in one R2 hit and nothing was really too threatening. found a buncha important items i missed (embers?) and got to the gaping dragon. i was too arrogant and got smushed the first time around because some asshole was shooting me from a tower the whole time. next time around i was more careful, took out the sniper and summoned solaire to do the dirty work. accidentally cut off the tail and got a crazy axe that i can’t wield, but it looks pretty badass. got the key to blighttown and off i went …

the front entrance to blighttown made me realize that i really did miss more than half of the area, which is crazy. i spent most of my time just kicking people off ledges and very carefully going down ladders to explore a bit - nothing too crazy showed up. got to the bottom again, upgraded pyromancy to +15, then upgraded my sword to +10 at the forest blacksmith.

went back to anor londo to see what was up with that big yellow gate that vanished, killed some pigs and got a cool helmet, now i’m at the library with the crystal skeleton dudes. looks hard. i remember the speedrun guys doing a crazy jump on the elevator, so i might try that out and see what happens.

Eugene Karnak - The League (Original Mix)

Doing the depths and blighttown “the normal way” isn’t at all required, so it’s cool that you went down there to explore it the way most people did. Going down to blighttown from the front is so annoying when you’re at a low level because it’s easy to get poisoned and die when you don’t know where you’re going.

Ornstein and Smough are probably the hardest boss in the game (or up there, anyway), so if you can beat them, you can probably tackle other areas okay. The Duke’s Archives (where you are now) is one of those areas that I found pretty challenging when I didn’t know where I was going. Of course, like all other Dark Souls areas, once you know the layout of the level it’s actually very small. It just feels really big at first.

Dude that elevator jump is so hard. I was trying to do it for a solid half hour+ before i gave up just to see how easy it was lol

I remade another character… who will be my giantdad pvp troll. This guys videos are too good man.

Happy birthday sang!

Happy b-day Sang!!!

Shine bright like Dieminion!!

man, they really fucked over hugo for sfxt.

translation for people who only play sf4: imagine if zangief lost invincibility on lariat, and stand mp had no range, and bodysplash was garbage. and then capcom buffed running bear grab to make up for it.

Wow skipping blight town… I’ve done that before. That’s definitely the part of the game that always makes me go Ugh… Its so difficult to navigate

Dukes archives has another less difficult jump for a cool item in it. I’ll let you figure out what it is

If the speed runners can do it so can you mike! Elevator jump, I’ve never tried

I think a boss mike has yet to face is the most difficult one. More than OnS but they are second. Mike even killed big O which is way harder than killing big S, especially if you don’t have Pyromancer.

There’s more to the forest mike.

There’s more additional areas too. One of which is, IMO, Impossible to find without a guide

And one which is the hardest in the game. Good luck!

Mike don’t read this

Spoiler

tomb of giants is the hardest yo. Oh yeah and mike still has to fight bed of chaos… Four kings are hardest boss IMO. Now that I think about it though OnS probably are harder on new game than 4k on ng+.

btw, Gilbert Gottfried is in town doing stand up comedy at Yuk Yuk’s this weekend!
for those who dont know, he’s the voice of Diego the bird in Aladdin. his comedy is extremely raunchy.

this Saturday at 10:30PM. tickets are $40. im going to reserve seats tomorrow, who’s down?

Ng+ makes me sad.

I’m playing through again since mike started too, wanderers are coo

Hbd sango

OMG OMGOMGOMGOMG

only a few hours more before the Gojira show! I love life right now!

Why does it make you sad? Try NG+++++
That shit right there, after they nerfed my character hard… i had to start over fresh haha :\ i did virtually no damage to enemies that had a boat load of health and would 1 shot you

DmC part that made me lol due to being completely unexpected.

Don’t understand the Hugo changes, I think he’s already pretty bad in vanilla SFxT. There’s no way he can ever be on point because he’ll never get near anyone. Maybe with rolls throwable he stands a bit of a chance? I dunno…

I really don’t like those Capcom changes where they say “this move was hard to connect with, so we’ll buff its damage to reward people who can land it!” All it means is … people will still not continue to use the move, and the other nerfs he got will affect his game prominently. I think they did it with Jack-X too, buffing some weird target combo that nobody used. Capcom is getting better at listening to fan feedback and understanding how their game is played, but they’re not all the way there yet. :\

Oh, and stuff like “this totally non-antiair move now causes… ground bounce on counterhit on air opponents!!!” is totally useless. Like when are you ever gonna hit someone with that move in the air?

GRAPPLERS MUST NOT CHALLENGE THE SHOTO HEGEMONY

If you tag into Hugo somewhere in your combo and get a hard KD his momentum is insane, with nerfed rolls and his Oki he’d be pretty damn cheap… I think with Hugo, you have to capitaliZe on your momentum and rely on hard tagging during some KDs to keep it going.

King would probably make a great partner with Hugo now that his neutral game is much better. I’m already planning to switch my team order cause vega is just going to punish everyone’s quick combos and run away with life lead. Cause his offense now blows but his defense is great. With king having good anti-air and good momentum and mobility he’s better suited to take life away like this. Plus if you want momentum everything is a hard KD so there’s no shortage of setups.
