yo what u guys think of injustice, I’d like to see another company have sucess in the FGC to compete with capcom but it doesn’t look like its gonna happen anytime soon…so what u guys think, fail or win for injustice?
I just think Street Fighter is too iconic to be easily challenged by IPs that weren’t prevalent in America in the 90s (stuff like KoF was too obscure, new IPs like Blazblue).
MK did pretty well, primarily because it was an iconic IP like Street Fighter. But I think the rigidity of the animation keeps a lot of people back from it. If there was a SF5 made by Capcom and it looked like MK9, I wouldn’t play it. There’s something that’s really easy on the eyes about SF4/SFxT/Marvel’s animations that MK (and maybe Injustice) just can’t match.

I thought Injustice looked way smoother and more fluid than MK9, there is a lot of potential there. At least the developer is much more dedicated and responsive to community feedback. And its based on the DC license, so that helps a lot too… Marvel >>>>> DC for sure but that’ll help give it some exposure

Doomsday is in Injustice. I’m excited to see how they incorporate his drive. (Every character has a unique drive button like in Blazblue). His unique power is that he resurrects when he dies, and is unable to be killed in the same way ever again. I wonder how they could incorporate that into a fighting game… Maybe he’s just a boss character like Kintaro and Goro were in MK9.
