Hello Sam,
Congratulations - you’re the TLB winner for this week. This means that you get to play a heads-up match against a Team PokerStars Pro Sunday, the prize for which is a record amount: $9,000. As you may know, the prize for the weekly TLB match starts at $1,000 and if the Team PokerStars Pro wins, then the $1k carries over to the next week. Never before in PokerStars’ 10 years has the prize reached $9,000, so you will be making a bit of PokerStars history.
Please contact me as soon as possible by replying to this email to confirm your availability and to let me know what game you’d like to play.
You may choose from any of the games normally dealt at PokerStars. Remember, the game is at 14:00 ET this coming Sunday, January 29th. There are no exceptions to this exact time and date, so if you can’t play then please let me know ASAP so that I can contact the 2nd place finisher.
Finally, if you have a picture of yourself that we could use for the Classic theme lobby, that would be great - you can impress your friends and relatives! JPEG format would be best, but we can probably work with other formats.
Congratulations once again, and enjoy the heads-up match this coming Sunday.
Regards,
Mike Jones

Ohhhhhhh crap. I didn’t know Team Edmonton asked for a money match. As the cheapest Asian in the Calgary scene I absolutely cannot afford to lose my precious 10 dollars haha
As long as it doesnt start too late I’ll go with a stick (and a PS3 kof disc in case it’s needed).
I don’t think the actual 5v5 is a MM.
This wasn’t suppose to be a MM in the first place because both scenes are still new to the game but it spiralled out of control with side bets. lolol
As far as I know it’s just Khoa/Sang = 200, Me/Peter = 20, and Falken’s B Team - 3 Lives vs Team Edmonton for $50 (I don’t know if Falken agreed to this). I think Mike M. threw in $30 somewhere but I don’t think anyone else in Edmonton accepted it. No idea who else threw cash around.
This is what the rest of Edmonton and Calgary are missing out on by being a KoF spectator instead of a KoF player.
Daniel:
I think the sentiments are shared by everyone involved in this.
This weekend is going to be a gong show and I forsee all of us getting kicked out of the venue. lol
dude +1 on the cant afford to lose. If my brothers are putting their hard earned money down because they have confidence in us, we need to train hella hard to not let them down
So I was looking at the Saucy Sundays replays again, this time to analyze and break down what I did right and wrong against Jamie. Man, I never realized I look so handsome and cool when I get an angled shot like that from really, really far away. I also look like an Asian version of Dee Jay smiling regardless of whether I win or not.
Jokes aside, what I did right:
Not having second thoughts about AA and chipping (sometimes)
Jumping more, being more aggressive in nature
Keeping my emotions cool (most times)
Parry into hands (too bad I got baited out of that later on out of streams)
What I did wrong:
Dropping FADC combos almost every single time.
Having second thoughts about AA (sometimes)
Trying to fight him on the ground the whole time (sometimes)
Trying to AA with mantis st.MP, st.HP, etc. Never had a problem AAing with those two normals so it was my habit of doing that.
Blocking RCFs
not OSing parry with backdash
not looking at my own character from Jamie’s POV (when I was on a losing streak)
not punishing his AA focus at all
/excuses
EDIT: I was talking about our Calgary crew cuz I don’t think I told anyone besides the other members of the team.
We already know that. It doesn’t matter who’s on your team we have 5 inner hongers and you have a bunch of white guys. Unless you guys have an inner mexican you guys aren’t beating us.
