NO DS port as quicksave feature makes the game semi-braindead, and no SNES port in English since its translation sucks. Either SNES port in Japanese (Easy Type version is easy so I recommend the original one) or PS port in English would b for the best.
Yeah i would just get it off the PSN store so it’d be pretty much 100%

not really, japanese FF2 sucks ass.
Final Fantasy Tactics was the best. It also has aged better than the others as the combat is actually engaging ;).
Mario RPG does indeed also make other FF games look bad.

Underrated game. Play it.
FF12 is good, but so unlike all the other FFs. It’s a love it or hate it game. The SMART people love it.
I guess you’d probably have to play FF6 if you’re looking for a sprite-based FF. Most games in the polygonal FF series haven’t aged well, and I can’t really recommend FF13. Maybe FF13-2 will be good though.

I liked the original FFT translation :(. Maybe because grammar didn’t mean much when I was ten haha. And the old englishy writing and name changes in War Of The Lions makes me sad. Change scares me and makes me feel stupid.
Though Delita’s motivations still make zero sense, regardless of the translation!
