I kept practicing JG against your low attacks but for some reason I seemed to have failed every time I actually tried it, but against high ones it worked just fine. I wonder why. Next time I’m just gonna step back and low xbow you out.

You were rly great with spacing. I kept thinking my 66B can reach you but you took a step back then whiff punished me hard.

I was watching the KoF archive from southtown and one of the Mexican dudes calls meter ‘Powers’. It sounds way better than meter, I’d much rather have three powers than three meter.

Anyway, I know this is late coming but GG’s to everyone I played in KoF at Dickens. Hopefully if I can keep learning this game fast enough I can land a spot on Team Calgary for the next 5v5. Next time around I’ll be sure to let all of my friends in Orlando know about the stream so they can see how this game is meant to be played.

Amalur demo was kind of neat. Looks like a pretty big world. Demo was really buggy though! Several cinemas had a black sky, and every minute random rectangles kept popping out of the floor, heh.

What a long day of SSF4, i gained 650 pp from 3750 to almost 4400 pp. Woot managed to add Steve raidentheshocka to my 10 game win streak yay!

If funds allow for NCR, then I’m going to use that motivation to take out NorCal and then come back to run back the embarrasment of that 5v5.

SFxT might change everything and bring out the older players in Edmonton from retirement but we’ll see what happens.

Killey, I don’t think you are ready for Norcal. Just don’t get upset if you don’t make it far.
I remember I thought I was top player for a while b/c I was winning so much back last year and almost getting out of my pool evo 2010. But when I went to socal I lost my first match to combo Jack and won 4 more in the losers and I didn’t even get top 8 in my pool. If you are having trouble getting to the top of Alberta then get ready for your pride to get crushed. David trained so hard for MVC3 I sent him to so many tournaments only to see him get 3rd at best. I believe Academia. 4xx AF i believe. You’ll see it. It’s part of the main storyline. I’m on the PS3 as well. But yeah… kinda disapointing cause I don’t believe the original FFXIII had any performance issues. It happens a lot during the in-game cutscenes. That one place where it was raining, it happened there.

Face it man you got a full time job, talent and dedication isn’t enough to win. If you really wanna win, quit your job and become a game scrub play 8-10 hrs a day 7 days a week.

And this is why it’s not worth being a top player in the FG community.

Even if there were people who wanted to play this much, the scene is too divided. It’s not like the Starcraft scene where they only had one game and everybody was practicing the same things. The money is all split between AE, MvC, KoF, etc, and no person can be a top player at all these games at once.

I just say it because every time you hit me with it, it’s only because I’m screwing up (and it drives me crazy lol)… I mean, yeah, if it works, go for it, but I just don’t think it’s solid, especially when the other guy is trying low meaties.

When I hit you on wake-up with low short, combo into tatsu, it’s becasue you’re trying wake-up throw, right? Maybe just blocking it out, and going for late techs would be better? You’d block my low short, and still tech the throw if I went for that instead.

gg’s all the same Derryk/Josh. I dropped soooooooo many combos. :looney:

Derryk you’d be a much better player if you blocked on wakeup, lol. You’ve come a long ways, though, we want to see you continue to improve!

Cody has no real answer for low meaties… EX zonk is too slow, EX criminal upper can get stuffed, regular zonk is a really bad reversal and should never be used (only upper body invincibility)… basically you just need to either backdash or block + late tech. I do think your defense will continue to improve the more you play Cody, though. You have to play good defense with him to be successful!
