If nothing else, every paycheck you can take an appropriate percentage off yourself (like companies would normally do anyway), stick it in a savings account, and earn interest on it for the rest of the year before you have to pay it back to the gov’t. Sounds like a good deal to me!

I think there is a drink and draw at dickens on wednesday nights. Buncha people get together drink and draw stuff. I might make it down there around 7:30-8:00pm. Need to let some paint dry.
Sure, there are disadvantages to being a contractor. My point was that the amount of money paid in tax isn’t really one of them, since you have to pay the same amount of tax either way. Though I can see the convenience of having someone on payroll deal with all that, rather than yourself.

I think they’re kind of bad. No disrespect to anyone who likes them but they’re what an uncultured person considers “authentic”. Store-bought tortillas, cilantro, lime and pulled pork/beef that they buy pre-cooked from some local woman. Pretty dismal if you ask me.
