to balance that out Phoenix might be the only character who has an 8way that works like an MvC2 one

from what I’ve seen air dashes in MvC3 are too fast for you to do much with them… you have to jump a lot higher if you want to tri-jump and hit the other guy with an overhead and since the dash is so fast doing resets into those crazy airdash crossover/unders probably won’t work anymore

making a character take a special into level 1 hyper combo to kill is not balanced, especially if its to balance her as having a basic staple of all good characters in the previous game, imo

maybe that just seems silly to me, but they could “balance” it by maybe adjusting her health based on how many meters she has? if she has 5 and can turn into dark phoenix sure let that kill her, but with less than that?

shes pretty ass tier if you can only take 1 combo before you die, its marvel after all

everybody dies quick in MvC3 from what I’ve seen

they took out infinites & extended combos and scrubbified things by making magic series into launcher into OTG do 65%+ … lessened the execution barriers on big damage combos. but hey at least chars dying quick means you need to really work on your defense so all is not lost

I’m so psyched for MvC3… considering how bad we are all going to get fucked over with SSF4 at Evo this year I’m prolly going to put most my effort into mahvel

She’s had absolute shit health since she was revealed, the whole part of her resurrecting with 5 bars is what they thought would balance her I think, which is still pretty damn silly. We’ll see though, maybe she stands head and shoulders above other characters in every regard other than health?

It’ll depend on the team composition with Phoenix but she’s a very high risk character and I’m not even sure if the rewards are worth it. Someone who can master her, meter manage, and have a team composition that really compliments her might be scary but it’lll be a lot of effort to get that to work effectively.

Yea outside of 1-2 bros I met in WoW everyone else was either a 13 year old mentally or took everything so seriously.

i only played for as long as i did because my guild was a splinter guild of over 1k people(something awful guild), so we had like 45 cool people out of 1000, pretty unique group. we had an ftp where we’d upload songs to play during raids. this is how i found out about ratatat and soccer practice

though with the added fact that goonsquad was filled with goons im guessing my guild experience before we split is far worse than anyones here. rolling guild chat text, almost like irc. everyone spouting dumb catchphrases. monacles, shennanigans, ugh
