Paragliding+hooking is actually pretty fun once you get good at it… makes most vehicles obsolete.

Did you beat it? I’m only about 3 hours in but it seems like you don’t have to care at all about the story, just go around and blow things up.
I’m just incredibly amazed at the scope. They’ve detailed the world down to the last square inch with stuff, but you can fly at the top of the skybox at nighttime and jump out of a plane if you want, and see the ENTIRE world (no draw distance). Getting closer to objects and having the game draw them in is seamless… it’s really a technological marvel of a game. Plus, it’s a physics sandbox too. And the explosions are amazing… which is great, because you blow so much stuff up. It doesn’t seem like it’d ever get old. I’m a little irritated at the gunplay, but maybe I’ll get used to it (and even if not, it’s not a big deal). I’ve just never really felt like I’ve been inside a world like I have in this game. Go anywhere, do anything, drive anything, shoot anything, destroy everything.
Trust me, we’ll all be learning. It’s more TvC then it is MvC2 and I don’t think anyone here has played TvC for more then giggles. But yeah, just hamper down in training mode at the start and grind it out in the sandbox.
So yeah, MisguidedAngel and I just bought two full copies of Yomi. They’ll be here in ~2 weeks, probably.

i dont really play online much johzear, but we can def play again. I dont really play lobbies though and I’m usually only online if ppl challenge me first on IRC or whatnot.
I’m guessing theres no Rufus in Calgary? I got away with stuff that like…I shouldn’t be getting away with. (double divekicks can be os’d, jump back fierce is fucking godlike, etc etc)
The WSOP is really a series of tournaments (something like 50-60) that take place over the course of a month-plus. Each tourney has varying buyins but I think the smallest is $1000, and they’ll take several days because they’ll have 3000+ entrants.
Some of us play Rufus as an alt, but none of us use him as our primary character. In our weekly tournaments, there’s very little Rufus presence, if any.

rufus can be really aggravating some times… i usually use a c. fierce OS but i just wasn’t thinking clearly

edit: don’t get me wrong though, your rufus is gdlk. great games, i just wanna play more so i can work on the matchup. rufus is my achilles heel right now (and has been for a while)
well in vanilla i can say that i never lost to a single vega not even one game, it was just that free for rufus Vega didnt have an answer for anything.
not much really changed in super besides damage nerfs and U2, so the match is still horrific imo. But with damage nerf its a lot easier to rush Rufus which helps a lot.

also Western Canada does have more than one strong player. Embrio, JJ, Air, Jozer, B, Major Crimson, Zeniside, Phil (just to name a few)
Yeah western Canada is not to bad, maybe just not as developed by direct comparisons to other communities but we got great players. Although Ill exclude myself from that list, I havn’t touched SF4 in nearly a month so I’m like damn near free right now lol.

I never meant it like that, its just that theres usually one person that runs each city or region. For us its JS (or rebelo since js is “retired”) or chi-rithy in mtl. I just thought it was johzear in Calgary/WC.
