It was like 160+140+550(?)*.7= 685 damage (more with a counter hit) for now meter. Or Somewhere along those lines.
Towards Roundhouse did 140 in Vanilla. I don’t think you guys fully appreciate how retarded Sagat was.

Messiah Kick EX - 20x4*50
Messiah Kick LK followup - 80
i don’t think you full appreciate how retarded akuma’s loop and MAD CRAZY option selects are either
like ppl said, there ARE ppl with decent matchups against sagat.
also i’m pretty sure ultra didn’t hit fully off the trade seeing as you’re not grounded, AND, it fucks up in the corner
he still had weaknesses… he was fixed in place, could be safe jumped, and was not especially strong at footsie range vs some characters. I still don’t have any problems with vanilla Sagat… imo he should have kept all his same tools, and then got a damage reduction that puts him midway between vanilla & super damage… cuz I think he got nerfed too hard.
Abel beat him in vanilla and his matchup vs Akuma just got worse and worse as people developed Akuma technology… 6.5-3.5 for Akuma was not out of the question
angry scar is hella cool though
are we talkin with or without the followup?
vanilla messiah was 80+50 plus 80 for followup, 210
also I could swear Guy has absorbed 2 hits with his run against me before in Super…
I grinded out learning sagat in super… I guess I learned how to play the character more properly.
If only I can take my tiger skills back to time where vanilla was released lmao
On another note; i have been watching vids of MvC3 on YouTube. Not gonna lie, the game looks fjcking crazy cool and colorFul like crazy techno fireworks.
sagat’s ultra:
trade tu: 170
f rh: 140
ultra: 4 hits at 80% = 144
Then 6 hits at 80 % = 216
that’s 670 damage…
K looks like you’re right mike. I could have sworn trade u1 didn’t do that much. Guess it has been a while since i played vanilla
I like Gat’s fat crouching hit boxes. He is one of the very few characters where I can continously Seismo chain in the corner. After you left the lobby Cody I perfected that Sagat player because I kept him in the corner with Seismo chains. I saved the replay of that because it was too funny.
Let’s be realistic Jamie, at the highest level play in Vanilla SF4 and how Vega was back then and the number of players that used him you were better off just learning the match ups that you’re frequently going to face. SBO teams were comprised of primarily Ryu, Gief, Gat, Rufus, Akuma, and Viper. There were a few teams with the lesser played characters because of specialists like TKD’s Fuerte, Nuki’s Chun, and Yazu’s Guile. Preparation wise you were better off committing to the frequent match ups because at the very least your character had significant enough advantages over the lesser used characters that you could stick to your game plan and still win.
Vanilla Sagat gave me 900 dollars.
seismo chains so annoying
looks like you should be able to jump or roll out… but you can’t. you just have to eat monstrous chip damage or backdash…
also, that video is awesome
do I ever miss post-KO hits…
Jamie your Vega is amazing even comparable to Saskatchewan’s Vega
…but since nobody plays Vega in Sask therefore your Vega is nothing.
Sagats doomsday combo got nothing on Gouken.

I’ve tried to ignore your posts Dalton but shut the fuck up you stupid fat fuck. How does it feel when someone says something that shouldn’t even be said?
lmao wut the
I’m getting Sask-trolled… the WORST KIND OF -trolled
lol Sam that combo is so unrealistic
LOLOLOLOLOL when would u ever be able to fully charge goukens ex fireball in the corner
lol SHUTUP DALTON hahaha
Who da fuck is this dude anyways.
You can jump out of regular Seismo chains. It’s only when you insert EX Seismo’s can you not jump out of the Seismo chain. That being said if you have good reads and good reactions you can use feints and other Seismo’s to catch the jump. If you had perfect timing you will catch the trip guard with a Seismo. With people with bad jumps like Chun and Cody I can trip guard Seismo them quite a bit. Also, Seismo’s are by far the hardest zoning tool but easily one of the most effective when mastered because of the sheer amount of options you get off of them.
i just try to focus forward through the seismo or guess on a kara-ex-hayate, lol.
if i block a seismo, i ultra 2 now
killey, is there any reason not to do that? just wondering cause i’ve been thinking about doing that lately
i’m usually forced to block the burn kick anyways, so if i can get a get out of jail free, not so bad right?
Mmm…depends on the amount of invinci frames you get from U2. If it’s like Cammy U1 you’ll hit Viper regardless of the Seismo they do. You could probably do wake up U2 to beat meaty Seismo’s as well but either of those things will probably just work once. Once someone understands that you have the capability to blow through Seismo chains and meaty Seismo’s they’ll just bait it with Feints and then if you do the Ultra you’ll get severly punished for it. That being said it’s good to throw it out there to make the Viper player do something else instead, which may or may not work to your advantage.
The answer is who cares.
It’s clearly obvious that my posts are not serious at all. It’s called trolling.
PS i’m the nicest guy in the world. :wgrin:
