Man that Beat Takeshi game looks hilarious. It’s really funny because that whole game really fits his sense of humour well, but unfortunately it was intended for kids. I’m sure most of you know this but outside of hosting ridiculous Japanese shows (and having them dubbed in English I guess) he’s a really sweet director. He made IMO the best “first movie to watch with a girl”. You know, it’s always tough to pick a movie when you first meet a girl because you don’t know her preferences or you don’t want to pick something that will give her a weird vibe, but you don’t want to pick something lame. For example, if I were to meet a girl and she wanted to watch a movie I would definitely not go with my favorite movie: Eraserhead. That would not be the right choice as there is a good chance that a restraining order would be placed on me. However, Kikujiro is the ultimate movie for these situations. It is adorable, hilarious, and just plain awesome. I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t like the movie. It’s good any time, but it is the ultimate in impressing a lady ala film.

i’m gonna start bringing a setup to tubby’s. I had a sweet(ish) LCD (some of you will remember it, i brought it to the canada-cup) … funny story: i went home to my parents place in BC for x-mas. figured that they would be watching their shows in the evening so i should truck my portable display to get some SF games in with my brother.
it got as far as the curb in my back alley, i left it there instead of loading it into the truck for the trip home. laugh all you want. i’m over it.
ANYWAY i need to buy one now which is very light, has HDMI (will work with PS3) and has no lag. it’s been asked before but i’m far too lazy to search the previous posts.
lucky me, being the awesome person I am scored a $100 gift certificate to Memory Express from my IT boss today.
point me in the right direction, I’ll go pick it up this weekend and bring it next wednesday.
edit now, i don’t much feel like bringing both my PS3, stick and monitor. would someone be willing to meet me half way with a PS3 for tubby nights? i normally walk from my house so carrying all that shit would be retarded.

@deeryk, if you’re looking for a good monitor from ME, go with either the BenQ E2420HD or the Asus VH242H, the latter being an exact model of the Evo Monitor. The BenQ comes with 2 HDMI ports. and some USB too. Sound sucks on both of them so you may want to use something else for sound, I use speakers myself. just 2.1’s cuz that’s all you really need.
I got the asus vw246h, it has built in speakers, hdmi, and is lagless as well 24"
