Did you guys know that Sent’s jumping H (stomp) can nullify projectiles? Like, multiple projectiles even?

Does that mean it has super armor, or is it also a projectile, or what?

I was reading the strategy guide and actually all of his jumping attacks nullify projectiles, including S. Also, standing L and M and S. Standing H is a beam that hits full screen and does chip damage just like Crouching H, Crouching L and M also nullify projectiles. That’s not even mentioning the hyper, or super armor. I think Sentinel just might be the first one to get hit with the nerf bat!!! Talk about broken, no wonder 9/10 players I face have Sent in their third spot

I played phil 15 games last night, he beat me 15 times. Of course, he had Sent/Mags every time too, I think that’s his core team. I hadn’t even unlocked sent/akuma/task/tsienko yet, so I couldn’t even pick my own sentinel… poo. The game seems pretty fun though, I think I’ll have fun with it. We’ll see if I can get any good with it, I’m thinking probably not. So far, I think the two characters I had the most success with were Felicia and Spiderman. haha. wtf.

I know it gets said a lot, but it cannot be over-emphasized how much Sentinel, and especially factored Sentinel, make baby Jesus cry… this weeks Cross-Counter was really good though. I really like Clakey D. It’s nice to see a lot of the “best” players avoiding using Sentinel.

My She-hulk, Spencer, Chris team seems to get smacked around by factored Sentinels online. I basically just play keep away with Spencer until it runs out… any better ideas :(?

And what’s the strongest DHC anyone has found? And are DHC and THC basically synonyms? So many stupid questions ;). Full Emerald Cannon, into full Bionic Manouevers into full Sweep Combo is the strongest I’ve come up with… pretty beastly!

Edit: Another stupid question… If I go into Sweep Combo after Emerald Cannon, it whiffs half way through because Sweep Combo has a ground bounce and so does She-Hulks BNB (via bum glitch, and I think you only get one ground bounce per combo). But if I separate Sweep Combo from Emerald Cannon with a full Bionic Manouvers I get full Sweep Combo afterwards… why does that work??

THC is all 3 at once, DHC is just chained together 1 at a time. Generally speaking, I think people need to just deal with sentinel. honestly, why even put effort into complaining about him sighhhh

Nuh uh, Josh! The guide thingy says the big team hyper where they’re all on screen is called Crossover Combination and that Hypers in sequence are called THC, and makes no mention of DHC anywhere :(. But I guess it means this in the competitive community from MVC2? MVC2 makes my brain hurt.

And it’s more fun to complain!

this stream is comedy, some guy is using Hulk Sentinel Phoenix. Get through 2 of the cheesiest characters in the game and then you have to face phoenix/dark phoenix. So good hahaha

DHC is a delayed hyper cancel and it’s when you’re canceling out of your hyper into the next character’s hyper. THC (team hyper combo) and crossover combination are the same thing.

maybe everyone else already knows this and i’m just slow, but if you trijump with mag use :df::m::h:~:l: . makes life a lot easier, lol. i figured this out after talking to dug about the ability to cancel dashes with normals over and over, which makes characters like wolverine really annoying ?

also can someone explain how to unfly with mag without unintentionally getting out a hypergrav? for instance i’m trying to do fly.H -> unfly.H -> standing H and not getting it.

uh… just unfly normally and you should unfly. I dont know how you’re getting hypergrav. Are you sure you’re pressing the S button to unfly and not a different button?

Also, you remember that sentinel combo i was practicing yesterday, the one you kept getting on me? If you recall if you do that combo midscreen he ends up too far to rocketpunch for the OTG. Well you actually have enough time to dash up and rocketpunch xx HSF. Thats like 781,000 dmg anywhere on the screen.
