pulled apart my new stick today and reconfigured the weird MVC2 buttons to standard TE layout. man, i’m pumped on modding it. Dug, I’ll probably need your assistance soon. What sort of board / equipment shall I order to be able to mod it to be dual system anyway? (easiest way preferably)

Have an awesome time in Japan, ricky! God this game is amazing (other than xfactor…). That she-hulk bum trick brings my she-hulk, Spencer, chris combo up to 1,067,000 damage without factor, and for only 3 meter, or 1,292,500 with 5 meter…mmm.

Andrew if you think MVC3 training mode is fun, check out how to do some of the crazy shit in MVC2 and give that a whirl. I can sit for HOURS practicing shit without even getting it off, having a blast the whole time.

Cool. I’d imagine Chimp Boards are the way to go, judging by most of the pages I’ve read… I’ll totally buy it from you. As soon as I get my buttons / LED controller and ball top (some of the stuff is on back order from Lizard Lips) i’ll let you know.

Hey someone should make a logo for the Calgary Street Fighters!

I’m doing some concepts for my custom stick artwork in photoshop… right now i’m thinking of putting a Tubby Dog logo on, just because they are so fuckin’ awesome for letting us do our thing there. The only other cool logo I could find that suits our local scene is that nice Canada Cup Gaming maple leaf.

I’m sure i’m stepping all over some copyright issues - but i’m not selling it, i just want something that represents our awesomeness.

Thoughts?!

I haven’t been down due to not having time the last two weeks. And I leave for Japan tomorrow, so I’m gone for another 3 weeks. I get back just in time before Marvel Madness, but I’m still unsure if I can make it to that.

I forgot to mention this, but have a good trip ricky! There’s a good arcade at Takadanobaba called Big Box (saw Mago there on my last trip), but I’m not sure where most guys are playing AE these days (sounds like there’s some players in Yokohama like Tokido and Mago, but I’m not sure if that’s where they all go all the time or what).

Punishing it is character specific but you basically need fast or multi-hitting normals to hit Sentinel before the super armor activates. I don’t know about on block though but again it’d be character specific and completely dependant if he has an assist covering him.
