They need to make lightning not a soft knockdown. That’s the only change they need to make. It will make him more like firebrand in that he wont do absolutely bonkers damage, but he will stay mostly the same in the neutral game.

once you get the feel for it its actually not that bad. the timing is actually more lenient than SF unless you are going for max damage juggles and need to squeeze in extra moves and stuff before your juggle ends

I’ve put days into KOF13… it’s an awesome game, but it just doesn’t light a spark for me, I guess. IMO all the characters feel so “samey”. I’ll keep on trucking, though…

It’s an interesting read to see what other gaming communities opinions are about this topic. There’s a bunch of ignorant posts in there but at least it’s giving a broader spectrum of the issue.
Speaking about that article, Ultradavid completely missed out on a lot of key points that he probably didn’t knew.
He says that the other eSports communities had the luxury of the developers throwing money at them. Other people have pointed out that CS: Source and DoTA 2 were community mods of existing games that had no initial support from the developers. It was the communities effort that got those games to where they are today. How is it that DoTA 2 can come out of nowhere, define the MOBA’s gaming genre, be put into eSports, and see so much success in a much shorter time frame then FG’s?
