just so happens that those assist are multi- purpose assist that are very good…especially with viper which needs a good vertical assist to setup her footies, unblockables and strong counter game
Viper on her own is even scary. lol. What are you talking about? That’s why shes easily top 4.
She probably has the best high low game, gets inside really easily, answers to projectiles, invincible special moves that beat out everything ever, overhead assist to create unblockables, unblockable with focus attack off incoming character, great zoning with JC seismos, amazing DHC synergy for any character incomming, great meter build, full combo off of ANY throw without assists.
Awesome stuff and big thanks for figuring that out, but that early in combo you can easily relaunch assistless by just doing L seismo, tk’d sj.L bk. This even works with way more hits before the first launcher as long as you don’t add a boxdash loop anywhere in there (air normals and grounded hits vs airborne opponents are the stuff that adds the most hsd). it’s also probably way easier than the mag relaunch. The assisted relaunch is basically a tool to get a relaunch late in a combo or more specifically after boxdash loops, and for that purpose disruptor just doesn’t make the cut anymore…
that wont work for a non-S starter, what mags assist does give viper is another rep after box loop. For example do the box loop, land m,h+call mags, s(first hit only), h burnkick, m,h,S, finish combo does almost the same damage as getting a relaunch, only difference is that the combo before the relaunch is longer
@Dont know I realised that the combo is pretty ass but with a bit of creativity it can be made respectable, end of the day they nerfed disruptor to not be able to do assisted relaunches any more this wouldnt be a problem if it was multi hitting assist but since it does so little hitstun in the air its difficult to work with for viper though 90k for 1 hit is a extra thunder knuckle so even if you use it early its not that much worse than a relaunch sequence dmg wise. Its a better alternative to using ex burnkick i guess lol. If viper players put their heads together im sure we can make something very useful from this as a foundation, for now though this a extra hit confirm to work with since most viper mags are using 1 assist for combos anyways.
@drew the last thing in the video i did was off a different hitconfirm other than an S its possible not too practical at least without practice i think the main variable is how fast you do the combo the longer you take the less hitstun off disruptor you have to work with, If you do get the relaunch burnkick loops should be the go to combo to put it on a level playing field as viper cant do 2 extra relaunches with assists damage should work out similar or a lil more than the thunderknuckle starters and should give viper more flexibility especially with her pretty weak jump confirms. I dont think it will be too good overall but who knows what the future holds heh maybe she can get a solid mill off this!
@LouieBH I use Viper/Dante/Mags and you can get also a relaunch off Disruptor with seimos sjc burnkick but that requires are very low hit count during the combo. Like Drew I think you’re better off using during a box loop. You can get a practical 1mil too with H xx qcf.M~S, cr.M st.H xx qcf.M~S, cr.M H+disruptor xx qcf.M~S, qcf.H~S sjc sj.H [xx BK feint sj.H sj.S]x3 land, MHS sjc MMH dj MMHS land, Jam Session, seismo sjc seismo sjc burnkick land S sjc sj.S adf whiff normal, land, super
Sorry for the scrubby question but how do you connect the sj BK extension with plasma beam? it doest matter what timing variations I do on my tiger knee it always ends up as either normal jump BK or worse ground BK… anyways any help is appreciated
first off you should be using Light BK in case you didn’t know. and if you are using that, you’re probably rushing things. press L a tiny bit after you hit 8 on your stick
Hey guys, I have been playing Magneto/Viper/Doom since vanilla and one area that has always been a weakness in my game is taking advantage of the TAC engine (TACing into Viper). Obviously I got options once Magneto is dead and it’s now Viper/Doom left. But I feel like there has to be some sick options to TACing Viper in. So, I was wondering, does anyone have any advice/recommendations as to what would be good and/or optimal TAC combos for Viper? I know she has a TAC infinite that I can do on Down TAC, but I feel like there has to be something other than that to her TAC game. Anyone have any tips? Thanks guys!
um why dont you put viper on point then mags and doom, thats the best order to take advantage of the TAC engine… plus you would get more damage out of viper just my thoughts
Yeah I get that suggestion all the time, but I don’t like having Viper on point. My style really goes towards putting people in a Magneto blender. I also really like the DHC’s and unblockables that she gives Magneto too.
