C Viper - Combo Thread

lol, just realized a pretty misleading typo in my post and edited it. ^^ of corse it has to be “kinda grind out the edge of the stick gate and don’t let the stick go”.

o.o… Happ or Eurostick are the american style sticks XD, come on, you really never heard of it XD?
The gate is a circle, just like… er… seimitsu I supose…

actually I said happ for cause it is more known in America I suppose, but mine actually is an Eurostick http://www.lizardlick.com/IL-Eurojoystick-8-Way-Black_p_101.html, circle gate and blabla.

but I still don’t know if I should keep training her… i can’t find really good sinergy between her and zero… the combos for then suck… a lot…

ah i see. no, i never really took a look into sticks that don’t have sanwa parts, so please apoligize the lack of knowledge. ^^ of course you can do it with a circle gate too.

as for the viper/zero combination, take a look at chrisis’ matches, he plays that team very well. what’s the exact team you are working on? viper/zero/ammy?

in fact it is viper/zero/ammy, since my team is zero/dante/ammy and all… I play that team since day 1 of ultimate and a little in vanilla XD, I managed to do good in some tournaments, won some but don’t know… I feel my dante is weird tahts why I am trying different stuff like viper… but… viper/zero…

The combo there isn’t Viper/Zero, it’s Viper/Strider with Zero as the extra partner. Without Strider that combo just doesn’t work right.

that’s what i think too. viper ammy is okay, but lacks another assist, and zero/ammy is okay, but lacks another assist. no strider to solve that problem.

Has anyone transcribed marlin pie’s combo yet (hopefully not in guilty gear number notation) nd would it work with 2 beam assists/horizontal assists?
Also whats her bnb in ultimate?
Whats the input for her instant seismos, I’m guessing you tk it but I’m hoping for more info.
Finally anyone know how long you need to hold her focus attack for it to be unblockable and to combo after it?

Sorry for being lazy, but if possible can anyone link me to any reliable reverse corner carry combos (for lack of a better term, but for times when your back is to the corner and want to switch sides)?

I don’t exactly know what to enter into the search to find such a combo.

check some of gottnoskill’s video links from UFO, i saw him do it in there with bk feints.

The current corner combo I use (only started playing with her today) is a solo combo:

LMH qcfL (cancel) LMHS jMMH jc jHS land dpL jc jMMH jc jHS qcbS land HS jHS land qcbAA
Damage: 756,300
Meter usage: 2
Meter gain: 1 and about 3/8 of a bar.
It does a good amount of damage while using little meter and requires no assists. I like it :smiley:

I do something similar to this on an up TAC for flashiness. It helps for more damage out of Strider you can get up to about 600-700k off of it.

is the last burn kick have to be a meter using one?

@Gotnoskill: I was just trying some CVP TAC combos for fun and since I didn’t see many online, I decided to upload what I had at the time lol. I’m still trying to do something better : (

@UnleashedHyena: No, but the timing for the last j.H>j.S becomes a little bit harder if you do a normal feint.

I just started using Viper/Vergil/Strider and I haven’t seen this combo posted. It’s so fun to actually get in a match.
(corner only)
c. M, H, qcf+M~S, c. M+call rapidslash, H, qcf+M~S (rapid slash hits), super jump H, double jump H, staircase loop, air series, call strider, dp+L, jc. qcf+H, dp+L, burst time.

With just vergil it does about 830k and build 1.4 meter. Then with the addition of Vajra you get up to 890k and build 1.7 meter. I realize it doesn’t do much more damage than just doing c. M, H, qcf+M~S, c. M, H, qcf+M~S, qcf+H~S into staircase loop but it’s a lot easier, whiffs a lot less, and has better range.

I play Trish/Viper/Ammy, so when my Trish dies that leaves me with Viper assisted by Cold Star. I’ve been trying to figure out how to use this mid combo by watching MarlinPie’s matches, but I can’t figure out what he’s doing. I noticed this question came up back in February but no one seemed able to transcribe them. If they are somewhere in this thread and my search missed it please just direct me and I’ll check it out. If not, here’s my problem:In an effort to keep it simple and avoid as much hitstun decay I’ve been doing:
s.M, sH, QCF+B (cancel on hit), s.M, s.H, DP+A, JC, IAD, j.H, j.S, s.A, s.B, s.C, S, j.M, j.H, dj.H, S, Cold Star + DP+A.

There’s where I hit the trouble. It seems like an instant jump S will most of the time (but not always?) force the opponent to eat the entirity of Cold Star. From what I can tell Marlin does a burn kick cancel dash down to the ground, burn kick, S. Is that what’s happening? I cannot get the burn kick fast enough using the A version. Which burn kicks do I need to use, or am I in fact mistaken on what he’s doing and missing an important part of the combo?

Also, I’ve recently seen him a different combo involving Cold Star plus Optic Blast. Does anyone know what’s going on with that one? Any help or direction wuld be appreciated as I’d really like to step up my Viper game so I don’t feel like the match is over as soon as I lose Trish.

From what I’ve seen it looks like he does: dp - (call ammy) - sj S - burn kick feint - dash down - j.S - high burn kick.

I don’t use ammy so I’ve never tried it. I can later today and see if it works though.

Okay I’ve seen it again, and tried it in practice. There is no second j.S in the combo. The dash down high burn kick lets you get to the ground fast enough to launch again.
