C Viper - Combo Thread

Yep, 2 frames doesn’t sound like much, but it is twice as easy as 1 frame and very doable, even if it requires practice.

WHY AREN"T THEY NERFING THIS CHARACTER!!!

FlyingVe what do you normally do after you relaunch with assist if you do the stepkick combo. When I relaunch I do jC,jC,jS but they normally drop out when I try to do jS, I guess due to hitstun decay. Also I use doom plasma beam assist. Is it just the assist or is the basic air combo ender not possible if you do stepkick instead of box loop.

Y’know, I didn’t even see any of that stuff until now… and I decided to work this in my game yesterday from viewing one of Desk’s early Viper vids. Good stuff, gave me some starting points.

Really just studying the timing of the feint cancels. If I can get it down to even a reasonable level I should be in good shape for Ultimate since the timing window has been increased.

Got in a quick session this morning and I was able to get it once or twice, but not consistently at all - I think I can get it though.

ok, im trying out viper and i cannot get the relaunch combo marlinpie does with mag consistently. I read this thread but i just see ppl saying SJC it…can someone give me notations plz lol

im doing her reg bnb into a knockdown then i land, call mag, do L seismo, and 2147 (tigerknee) her H burnkick but i CANNOT followup with S after.

What am I doing wrong? Notations please.

You sure it’s not a EX Burn Kick?

no i dont think it is, i’ve looked at marlinpie’s play, he doesnt burn meter when he lands this.

Try the L burn kick, and obviously I can’t see you do it, but for me I was doing it much too slowly when I first started trying that relaunch. FWIW I think the seismo xx(mag hits here)xx tiger knee BK has to be done pretty quick. What exactly is going wrong? Is the BK hitting, but not popping them up high enough to connect the S? One thing that happened to me a lot was that the mag assist would just straight whiff because I was seismoing a little too early after calling mag.

yeah i’m hitting the burn kick but they aren’t high enough for my S to connect.

Here’s your notation:

Call Magneto, 623A, Magneto Hit, 2147::A, -/, 5S

Use the light burn kick and be sure you are doing a TK Burn Kick and not a JCC Burn Kick (hence the notation for a light pause between the 2147 and the A.

Yep, you’re doing them a bit too slow. Call the assist, and then casually input the seismo directly after. I say casually because if you rush, they’ll pop up too high and mags will shoot right under them. Though, this is less common on larger characters.
