Give the guy a break. There’s, what, 7 thread in the Dormammu forum? He has his own forum, I don’t see why people don’t make more threads. It’s not like the place will get cluttered up, there’s only one page!

Do any of the Hand of Creation/Destruction combos otg? I’m pretty sure 2C1D does, right?

I know D3 and inferno (D2C1) otg, dunno if meteor shower does but it seems like it should

With Dorm it’s not a big deal, but with Zero (for example) it changes everything.
BTW I think that can be confusing for a new player like the thread starter using sj in the notation, don’t you think?

im pretty sure it is still mentioned as sj even if u dont press down b/c the character does in fact super jump and is in a super jump state.

My two teams at the moment are Arthur/Haggar/Doom and Captain America/Thor/Dormammu

My Dormammu has been serving me pretty well and I have been thinking about moving him up to first string with Haggar/Doom. Obviously, replacing Arthur.

Would Dormammu work with that team? If so, what assists would you recommend and what team order would you suggest? (this is directed to anyone who wants to answer it)

I’m trying to learn how to properly use assists. As Dormammu I’m trying this set up but I’m not sure if it works. I do a normal air combo and land and hit Thor’s Mighty Smash assist and immediately throw out a Flame Carpet. It seems like it works. Sometimes I can even combo off of it with st. M, S, air combo, etc. Though that usually only works in the corner. If anyone wants to help me figure this out it would be much appreciated.

Your character is considered to be placed in the superjump state by the game’s code. Therefore, it is a superjump.

did that work out? sounds really nasty.
what team do you use by the way dorm/x/doom ? do you know if you can tag in another character and OTG AFTER dorm’s level 3

I didn’t actually test it. I’ve been working on some SERIOUS work with Doom. My main team is Mag (EMD or )/Dorm (liberation)/Doom (missles). Dorm is my best character by far, but my magneto is pretty competent and builds meter for Dorm. Doom has been a great anchor, but as the level of my opponents increases I’ve actually had to play as him lol. So lately i’ve been starting Doom then Mag with EMD then Dormammu with either Dark hole or liberation. I don’t do too much zoning with Mag/Doom… i’m really a rush down guy so i don’t use purification as an assist too much.

I don’t think you have enough time to tag another character in after Dorm’s level 3 and still get a combo in. I’m assuming you want something like Dorm’s level 3, tag in Wesker and :df::h:…and i think you can’t do that, as you’ve got barely enough time to do a purification after the level three. i’m thinking the only way to get another character in and attack is after purification, after Chaotic flame, then DHC to the next character… i think that’s a waste of 5 supers lol.

I agree! There’s no reason to use dark dimension since you can otg and get similar damage from chaotic flame. Level 3s in this game arent really useful in general. There are a few what stand out, like Zero’s or, of course, the best super in the game, Mags Gravity Squeeze. Really Magneto? Anywhere on the screen huh? Even OTG huh? Mag don’t give a fuck lol. Hella damage and all, the special properties of GS differentiate it from all other level 3s, and all other supers in the game. A level three should do that. There should be incentive to burning 3 meters when you can usually kill a character with 1 or 2.

That being said, Dark Dimension is fresh as hell, so if it KO time and I want to be pretty, that’s the super I’ll use

anyone got tips for facing dorm with sent drones assist? i use task(h.shot), wesker(otg gun) and dorm (dark hole) i just got zoned out so hard. i had no clue what to do

Dear Dormammu: Thank you for bailing my ass out in so many matches at the tournament in Seattle last night. Burn to cinders, chaotic fucking flame.

Same problem here. Ireally can’t do anything against a good deadpool. Any tips?

It has invincibility frames, so it is often very useful against hyper-happy level 3 X-Factor characters. If you’re facing a Ryu/Akuma/Sentinel that keeps spamming their full-screen hyper, X-Factor and Dark Dimension to finish the match instead of wasting time flying around the screen.

Plus, the point of Dark Dimension is the same as all level 3s: turn a living character into a dead one. If your Chaotic Flame is only adding 200K, but your opponent has 300K life, it’s worthwhile to consider blowing 3 bars just to guarantee the dead character. Otherwise being cheap with meter might come back to haunt you.

  1. Full screen hyper.
  2. Aim Master generally beats Sentinel Force.
  3. Keep the pressure up so he can’t call the drones safely.

I didn’t check around so this may be old info, but a AA Cr.Mp can cancel into lp.DarkHole i have only done this on Cap and Wesker so it may not work on the whole cast. Another thing i found is if you AA them High enough you can do this Cr.mpxxDarkH,Cr.MpxxDarkH it’s about 220-240k and you can add a CFlame to make it 430-440k. you can also do cr.mpxxDarH,Cr.mp/S into air string i forgot the damage but its decent especially for a combo achieved off of AA. there are a coulpe other combos with Dark Matter and Flame Pool. Experiment!

Lvl.3 is great for punishing IMO esepcially up close since it faster then CFlame + invinc. It’s also been found that it cover behind Dorm so no worries about a Tp. And it has a guranteed follow up in Purification/FPool(toss in a assist) and I think if you time it right you can get Dark Speel in before the Purification.

I doubt anyone teams with joe, but I was doing a team with dorm and joe and found a way to DHC into his godhand with dorm on point and joe’s shocking pink assist in the corner.

You have to fiddle with the timing to get it to connect since you have to hit the chaotic flame as low to the ground as possible since godhand its so low. It’s probably possible to do this from a flame carpet juggle into chaotic flame DHC into godhand. You can get about 3/4 of the hits from chaotic flame since it slowly moves the character up and the final hit launches to some extent.
