not sure if people know or if it have any use but by mistake i realize that dorms 0 liberation beat clean wesker phantom dance , guy was trying to chip me to death and i was trying to dark hole hes ass but instead hit it the wrong way lol , to my surprise he activated super and i though i was fucked but nooooo i watched in slow motion how the stock liberation stop him like nothing…

Wesker’s hyper get stuffed by the flame carpet too. He may hit you a couple of time but then he will get burned.

Will update this in the next day or two, school been pretty terrible free-time-wise right now.

I need to test more assist holding for charges…

In my experience Weskers hyper pretty much gets stuffed by anything with a hit box.

Yes, but not off of his teleport’s j.:m:, which is what I am interested in. If I recall correctly, the videos posted were also off of a webcam, too. Otherwise I would be glad to add Jam Session being used as a combo extender.

I agree with the deadpool argument and I think he is a special case… Fact is, you really need to rush him down and kill him as quickly as possible. Fought a good one last night, I had Dorm on point and he used DP on point. We went back and forth, 60/40 me (only because i was also using mag/doom with rockets). The games I won most convincingly were the ones where in the very beginning I got off a Trianlge jump S crossup/overhead into B&B ending in purification>CF. I didn’t xfactor the first few times, but after seeing what he could do even with a little health with DP I decided to go for the CF XFC CF to kill him off in the very beginning (that combo builds just enough meter to pull off a second CF). don’t remember who else he was using but I did note that they did not fare very well against my mildly competent Dorm coupled with Mag EM disruptor assist and Doom’s Missles. When I killed DP ASAP, I never even lost Dorm. But if I let DP linger too long he beat my dorm up pretty bad. I know Dorm isn’t a classic type of rush down character, but his instant air crossup S is too good (almost as good as hulks air crossup S IMHO) to pass up.

I also noted several times if he activated his super and I activated mine as a counter, mine would beat his. Don’t know if this is an online thing or a timing thing or what. But whenever he had activated super naked (like trying to punish my assist or as i’m landing from a super jump or something) and I activated CF just after, CF won every time. Need frame data…

My first post in the Dormammu thread lists all of his frame data. Chaotic Flame will beat out Happy Happy Trigger as long as you activate it fast enough.

Thanks. I’m trying to add more content and reflections a few times a week. If I had a capture card, I would be uploading a ton more combos.

I have an HD PVR. I’ve been recording some matches but not many given the limited amout of time i’ve had with the game… It would be great if we could save replays… :frowning:

But hey, if you want to give me some combos you’d like me to record in training mode i’d gladly do it. I’m actually really good with exhibition execution. I havent’ really used it since except for the few MVC3 vids. Was waiting on some kind of replay mode. but i’d love to record some Combos if you like.

As per the combo section of my thread, all videos require:

  1. High quality from a direct signal
  2. Only the contents of that combo to be displayed.
  3. The damage counter to be on while the combo is performed.

In general, any combos you discover that add something to the thread are welcome. You should be able to do these combos with other assists as well, so feel free to mess around and see what you come up with. The more options people are provided with, the better!

Edit again: I just notice that combo 2 has a gap where I missed d/f H. I’m going to re record now…

Edit 3 - after testing some more, i am having a VERY hard time connecting the j.S to st.S after the assist from Dante in combo 2… He flips out everytime. I’m trying different timings but I simply cannot get it to connect… Is anyone else having this problem? Any advice? because i could’ve sworn i did it before, but now its not working, and I’m thinking maybe i got it wrong… I’ll keep trying. This shit is frustrating lol.

Edit 4 - ok I tried it again with Xfactor on and it still wouldn’t link… Sorry man, it may be possible but I can’t do this one… i’ll keep trying and if I’m able to successfully record, i’ll post it…

hmmm charge up into chaotic flame? Nice never thought of that…I’ll try doing that in my games and let you guys know how it turns out

as far as his assist goes, it depends how you plan on using your other characters. For instance if you point character lacks an OTG and you feel like you can be dishing out massive more damage cough…storm then yes go for his purification. But I find his black hole to be his best assist due to the fact that it “locks” your enemy in the hole. Idk about you guys but black hole is godlike keeping an enemy locked in the corner, especially when you have a rushdown character like storm making them guess high or low while being trapped by the assist.

Does anyone know why H teleport often comes out with Dorm facing away from the opponent??

H teleport puts you over the opponent, so if he’s moving (also if slightly) it may happen to appear not exactly where you expected.

A combo for me? Have liberation 2C1D stocked, and Dante Jam session as an assist.

J. S, c.M, S, j. MMHS, dash, A1, Fire Carpet OTG, Liberation 2C1D, dash, S, j.HS, Purification, Chaotic Flame

I’m not sure if HS deterioration will degrade too much or not for this to work. Also this may be a little more useful midscreen. If there is too much hit stun the combo can be adjusted, but I wanted to see if that worked first. Maybe another way to do it without any gaps is:

J. S, c.M, S, j. MMHS, Dash, A1, Fire Carpet OTG, Liberation 2C1D, store 1 D, Liberation 1D, Dark Hole xx Chaotic Flame

For this to work, of course, you have to call Dante at the last second and still input the fire carpet in time for it to combo. You have plenty of time to charge D1, and immediately try to activate it. That’s what I’m most concerned about. If D1 can charge and hit by the time Dante finishes, it should be the last hit, giving you a hard knockdown in the corner… Just in time for Dark Hole xx Chaotic Flame… I’ll try it when I get home and record it if it works but if anyone can confirm whether it works or not it would be great.

Glad to see Dormammu players. Personally I use super armor Hsien-ko assist to help me zone. Still working on some other techniques and combos.

It’s a good assist, but I hate being so dependent on an assist. It makes me play the character sloppily, and she dies so easily against some hypers; easy to bait out and such. I’m not saying it’s bad, just that it’s beyond my comfort zone.
