One of the articles stated that the police forced the kid to go to school, he was trying to skip because of bullying/fight and his mom had the police force him to school. Sounds like the police knew to me.
Also self defense is not an eye for an eye, an eye for an eye implies revenge, there was no revenge he simply protected himself. I’m all for using the system correctly and alerting the proper person to get the problem fixed, the problem is A. while trying to alert the correct people he was getting picked on and possibly beat and B. when you’re 14 and the police and your parents already know there’s a problem and aren’t helping I can easily see giving up on the system.
This isn’t Goldeneye 007 where the enemies will stop shooting at you while you’re looking at your watch.
The bullying may not stop in between each authority or parental figure you report to and you can’t always wait and assume wholeheartedly that someone will actually intervene before it reaches a point of life and death. Jorge may not die when his eye gets poked because those idiots in the back of the bus are throwing pens at him, but I don’t think he willing to part with it because even though the principal or police don’t do anything the school board will.
It probably won’t stop in the meantime however, to do nothing is the worst thing you can do. To speak about the things is the best solution and then in the meantime figure out a way to deal with things. Like I said it should never come to you walking around carrying a knife. If you call the cops and tell them that you’re fearing for your life and nothing happens and you wind up dead (sucks for you) but something will happen afterwards.
Typically the way the extreme bullying cases end is 1 the bullied kid killhimself or 2 the bully get’s killed. So for someone to say they fear for their life because they’re being bullied I really never heard of someone getting killed by their bully (although it may happen I just never heard of it). I think if people didn’t believe High School was the end all and than getting picked on in HS means your life was over. Then I think things would be different.
If you go to school every day and get your ass beat you can either learn to fight or transfer schools. To expect people to be able to control themselves the way adults do while they’re still children is wishful thinking. You won’t eliminate bullying the only thing you can hope to do is change how bullying is treated and hopefully that will prevent things from going to such extremes.

did you just compare soldiers who died in iraq to this pos bully? you do realize that our soldiers can’t simply say “i don’t want to go on that mission”. Those men are there because we voted in a bunch of assholes who don’t care about them. don’t blame the soldiers for things they have 0 control over.
It happens pretty often. Directly or indirectly. You’d be surprised at how many kids kill themselves because they’re getting bullied. And before you go “oh but it’s not the fault of the bullies then”(which you obviously will), of course it fucking is. If they weren’t being mentally and physically tortured, they wouldn’t kill themselves.
Also, this is only what’s recorded. So much shit goes down that no one ever knows about. One of the kids in my highschool was ridiculed for being ass at soccer and in class and bullied constantly for his lunch money by some of the 11th graders(hell, they took my lunch money too but I had it easy since I was like the guy you came to to burn a music CD and shit). He tried to kill himself and that’s what it took for his dumbass parents to realize that telling their kid “pshaw, don’t be a pussy” is not gonna fucking work and started homeschooling him. You’ll never find that shit in the news since it happened in Africa, but I know a couple girls who got bullied and rapekilled, and their killers are still out there. Thank god that kid is still alive though.
I was bullied for a long time and it is serious business. I can easily see how the kid thought his life was in danger. I stood up to my bullies in 7th grade and hit the scariest bully in the throat with a blind punch. They stopped fucking with me and I realized later that I could have killed that dude. I’m glad I didn’t have to go through what this kid did. I cannot imagine the trauma.
There’s a difference between someone killing themselves because they we’re bullied and the bully actually killing them. So I was curious how often the bully actually turned to murder in a situation like this. We’ve seen different occasions where the bullied has turned into the murder. But I was curious if the bully has ever taken it that far.
I also still refuse to believe that if a kid actually went to their parent and laid everything out for them. That a good parent wouldn’t do everything in their power to protect their kids. Whether it’s homeschool or transferring the kids to a different school. I just don’t see how it can be taken so far.
I doubt that you’d of killed him by punching him in the throat in the 7th grade. However, by taking a stand against your bully you were able to save yourself from being bullied further. If you had done nothing then the bullying would of just gotten worse. A lot of times bullying goes on because the kid just simply doesn’t defend himself.
yeah getting hit in the throat is REALLY dangerous, even if nothing gets crushed/broken the swelling can cause suffocation and it can mess with blood going to the head.
Yeah the human body is weird, you get people falling out of airplanes and surviving or getting shot in the face and not even needing a hospital, and then you have people who fall over on the street and die on impact.
Then you’re either fucking blind or fucking retarded cause every article about a bullying death explicitly states that the fucking kids told their parents that they felt in danger, didn’t wanna go to school and were mentally tortured at school. If you refuse to believe stuff that actually happened and was reported, then I’m not even sure why i’m talking to you.
So then there are zero reported cases of bullies MURDERING the kids they bullied but several cases of crazies shooting up people that they felt wronged them because they were socially inept. Glad that got cleared up.
Fucking stupid bullies making all those poor children commit suicide. Man if all the children that get bullied committed suicide who would make all our ipods and nikes? This shit is serious, action must be taken.
