Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season Eight (comic)

Poor Xander. I mean goddamn, he has the worst luck with girls. But he’s still the shit.

This arc had it all, Japanese wolf vamps, mech battles, Dracula, Lesbian-ism…I don’t know how it’s gonna get better(but the Fray arc should be pretty interesting).

Yea, the last 2 issues were hecka good.

I really really wish that Season 8 would of been in real life, so you could see all the characters in person again. The comic flows very well.

I’m also pleased that they brought back and redeemed Dracula, because the Buffy vs Dracula episode was generally regarded as one of the worse Buffy episodes ever.

I  at the part when Mecha-Dawn was making fun of Dawn. That was pure awesomeness.

One of the few series in my collection worth the spending cash.

The other is Walking Dead

Whoa the Loeb written Buffy issue based on a failed Buffy cartoon pilot did not suck. In fact it was good… SHOCKING… :wow:

I know, that’s the same I said after I finished! Great issue. Poor Cordy.

Harmony’s coming up next. Should be fun!

Harmony issue was TOO FUNNY!

Buffy

Spoiler

The last panel with the dog wearing the white hat made be laugh out loud! HA HA HA!

I’ve never been much into Buffy and know very very little of the series’ plot. Would you still recommend I read this series?

You can still enjoy this comic without ever watching the TV show. Good writing is good writing. There will be some references to the TV show you might not catch but you can still enjoy it without ever having watched a single episode.

You do however get a bit more out of it if you did watch the TV show. Still the entire thing is in syndication and is probably being rerun somewhere in your area. All of the DVDs are out too. But it’s not written in such a way where you have to of seen the TV show to enjoy the comic.

Thanks for the feedback, don’t feel like watching the entire series sadly, maybe in the far future, but I’ll try to catch up with this series. Good writing is always good writing.

Last issue was so cute. Vampy Cats OMG!

Jo Chen is killing it with these covers. This one looked like it came straight out of a Hong Kong comic! The one she did with the Buffy crew watching a Buffy cartoon on TV was also really good, of course all her covers are. Why Dark Horse even bothers releasing 2 covers for this series is beyond me. Jo Chen knocks it out of the park each and every time.

The Vampy Cats were straight G’s. The way that first one told Kennedy to stop slaying and make babies had me rolling!

I need another Xander issue. Something GOOD needs to happen to him this season.

OMG Andrew was TOO FUNNY in the last issue! He had to take a long trip with Buffy and he basically ran his mouth for hours on end without Buffy saying a word. He went on several nerd rants including why Linda Hamilton should return to the Terminator movie franchise to how Daniel Craig measured up as James Bond. That was hysterical!

In the latest issue there’s an image of Jo Chen’s cover for issue 25. Is that what the Thricewise Dawn slept with looked like? Because DAMN!

Oz is back in the comic. Wonder how that will play out.

New issue was hella good this week. Andrew doing monologues and Willow milking cows ftw. Xander caught me waaay off guard, I wonder how that’s gonna end up…especially with Whedon’s track record.

Yeah Xander was making moves this week! :wow:

Willow one shot to come out in December written by Joss and drawn by Karl Moline!

yay buffy
