I’ll admit, I’m a little surprised Tekken doesn’t have a bigger following; I’m a VF guy but Tekken’s got the deepness and the style to go with it, I don’t really get it. Players need to branch out more from their safe games, I think, and not be afraid of getting their asses kicked… It’s just a part of the process.
The problem is that with tekken being a deep game it’s also a game where you have to put a lot of dedication into it in order for you to progress and get stronger. However large portion of that progression comes from sitting in practice mode and grinding out your shit and working on your reaction and punishment. Sadly this is the boring side to Tekken that turns a lot of people off but it’s also the meat and potatoes that separates the good players from the great ones.
Jon are you ready to finally step up and stop being a stepping stone for out of towners that come and challenge us? This is the week to practice up and show that you are not wasting time with this game.
I should be good to go this Saturday. There are still a few things I need to work on like throw breaking but overall I’m doing it more online which is nice. I can see the hands now and react to them. I just need to be able to react quicker about it. I’m going to avoid online this week and do some homework in practice mode.

So this Erie thing is real. They’re coming up on the 26th and there are at least two of them that play TTT2. I told them to come here and introduce themselves if they have a chance. We need all our best in attendance for all games on the 26th.
what games are they seeking to play? How many? Team Exhibition?
I’m getting that as they figure out who’s coming on Facebook. I joined their group page and they’re hyping it up. I don’t think they have a huge or good Tekken scene because they called for 2v2. Looks like most of them are SF players from what I can tell right now. Also, looks like there are 4-5 definite maybes and a couple babies crying about it being Halloween party weekend.
Edit: At least one of them is hype for some JoJo’s.
keep us abreast of the situation. Once we know their numbers and real intentions, i can recruit most of our OGs out to play.

That’s awesome, I hope they are good because I want to get my ass beat. I pick up on bad habits I have faster when I play in person because it’s way more embarrassing than when I fuck up online against some random.
I also discovered last night that it’s a lot easier to press the buttons on my arcade stick when I don’t rest my wrist on it so I’ll have to practice that, I wouldn’t even have known that if I didn’t start going to PnT.
Sadly I won’t be able to come tonight for games as I have work this night and tomorrow night. Fuck.
It looks like there will be 5-8 players coming up from Erie. They’re an assortment of players from a diverse list of games. They say their Tekken crew isn’t all that good, but they’re coming. Looks like Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, Marvel, and JoJo’s players. Some of them play multiple games. They are still figuring out who is going and setting up rides. I’ll have a final tally sometime next week.

Is Buffalo Tekken going anywhere this weekend? I’m thinking about going to Dustbowl. I know nobody’s interested in going. I just remember hearing about something in Canada going down this weekend or something and since I can’t go there, I might take a long lonely road trip.
