Brushing the Field - Amaterasu Thread

I want to sniff her godly fur and give her a pat on the head

ur gonna waste one bar to build up to 1/2 a bar? Good luck with that…

cause Strider doesn’t already do that and isn’t effective with it. I’m just saying the time slow down thingy is looking promising

Waste one bar while kicking the crap out of someone and then building it back? Yeah, that seems so bad.

Sorry but, he didnt say anything about kicking butt. He said building meter, most MvC players associate building meter as in whiffing moves without hitting someone to build meter.

And brightside just confirmed b4 u that kicking butt was not his intention.

And yes the slow down time thing looks pretty cool. at first I thought it looked kinda annoying for my opponents considering it’s a level one.

Round 1-Fight! (Slow down time, jump behind, start combo) It would be annoying as hell for opponents to see ammy and think, here we go another slow down scrub!

Battle starting in slow-mo…not very nice!

That full screen elemental I think should be 2 bars too! Full screen and you can juggle into it.

You can’t (at least in the build shown so far) build meter off whiffed moves in MvC3. So in other words, building meter in this game (as it stands) does require you to kick butt.

Since the build so far requires you to be on the offensive to build meter then I would assume that you would put two and two together and make that assumption yourself. From the few clips I’ve actually seen the “slow down time” super (whats it called?) could be used to completely shut down the other person mobility leading to easy offensive opportunities. Use your imagination from there. Who knows what kind of trap/chip game this could open up or how an Ammy who goes in with 3-4 bars can pretty much control the pace of the match at her own leisure.

But this is only fun speculation considering I don’t even know if any cooldown time exists between activations soooo yea.

Imagine if you get a good battery character for Amaterasu and you exchange combo her in.

That’s 5 slowdowns to work with, possibly 7 or 8 when you build meter in between.

Might be a good use for felicia, presuming she has a charge assist at release.

If you can tag in or out while you slow down time that will make all the difference, hopefully they allow it.

Ugh, can’t believe how many people didn’t play Okami. It’s called Mist.

Someone on YT asked this, but I thought I get other opinions.

Essentially they asked, Why did such a highly reviewed game like Okami get such poor sales?

While it’s true that reviews are not the end all be all…Capcom usually pushes these games and gives them more spotlight. Why not with Okami?

It’s adventure, it has drawing, great characters, a wolf that leaves a trail of flowers, the main goal is to make things prettier…I personally dont get what why this was a hard sell.

I found out from Wiking Viewtiful Joe, that Okami was another game they made and loved it immediately! JUST SAY THAT, CAPCOM…'from the makers of Viewtiful J…'SOLD!!! HERE’S MY $$$!!!

i never played it past the demo but always wanted to. it was one of those games that was hyped, but didnt sell very well

aesthetically, i don’t wanna fight with a dog/wolf/goddess/whatever the fuck ever. but if she is broken then i will be all over it. team cheap/scrub2.0 ftw!

lol I actually did play and beat it. It was a couple of years back though so my memory is fuzzy. The only complaint I had with the game is that it overstayed it’s welcome by a couple of hours. Besides that it was a great game.

Better overstaying than under with a game u pay $65 for and is 5 hours! Like…

I was just comparing notes…

While the RUMOR that Okami and God Hand’s sales were poor…that answer is false.

They did VERY close to the numbers of copies sold compared to Viewtiful Joe.

The other RUMOR is that Capcom killed Clover…maybe they did (Overworking/Underpaying them?)…the developers left to do their own thing thus dissolving Clover Studios.

FYI The Wii Version sold more than Viewtiful Joe did…but not by much.

under 300k for what many consider the best game of 2006 is pretty poor.

What people THINK is the best doesnt matter if your company doesnt advertise you correctly!

No awareness, no money or have a catchy theme (Just Dance) unless u r already famous like Mario or Halo

Besides there PLENTY of titles that get little press that are great games and not do well financially. The DS is FULL of them and bad ones too ofcourse.

Have u heard of EarthBound, God Hand, Comix Zone? Those were known as great but did not do so well financially!

Then those that you know that did well and were crap like Final Fantasy X-2, some of the new MK games (NOT DC)

In the end…#'s are #'s If u like it fine but making excuses will get you nowhere! TRY IT!

I actually wish that game wouldn’t end. Playing as a St. Bernard wasn’t enough of an incentive for me, lol.
