We play KoFXI, but we play it in console now. Me and Alex(I am sure you remember us both playing KoFXI daily at tilt) Now we just have casuals at our houses, if you are interested in playing us just drop me an IM or something and you can hang out for some KoFXI.
We do Guilty Gear XX Slash as well, those are our main games.
Is EX Kyo really as beastly sa everybody says? I’ve only seen a few vids of him doing
~90% damage in his juggles, but people still say that Gato and Kula are better. Is he an effective counter to the usual Kula/Gato/Oswald teams?
Nah, he’s okay with his corner combos, but they are that, corner combos. Gato, Kula, and Oswald are still beter. I don’t even play the EX character because I like to keep my gameplay arcade perfect. Infact, if I was to set up a tourny I’d ban the extra characters and we’d play in arcade mode, of course. Infact I’d probably have the tourny at Tilt if they fixed the machines.

I hope this problem I had a few days back was not mine alone: When I was trying to plug my perfectly fine PS2 controller in BOTH T5:DR slots, it DOESN’T respond! Seriously, it’s like it doesn’t know that the controller is there. Thus, I am stuck with either the 1st player stick, or no stick at all (the 2p stick messes up every 5 seconds. It’s almost impossible to play competitively).
Did they fix this problem? I don’t want to go to the Tilt tomorrow and see that machine still screwed up.
Why are the MvC/MSHvSF machines still there? And why the HELL must every Tilt have SVC Chaos? I mean, damn, I thought everyone stopped playing that game like 2.5 years ago (meaning like 1 month after it came out), yet it’s still here, ready to taint this Tilt forever. This is like wasted space for what could be GGXX/, 3s, CVS2, hell, even ST for crying out loud! I guess those games are too hard to get, though, so we’ll probably be stuck with what we have forever (I don’t mind Marvel or DDR at all, but I don’t think those two games are enough).
MvC2 certainly is not enough, and T5DR would of been fine if they didn’t break, same with KoFXI. But nooo, shit breaks, then doesn’t get fixed. Why hasn’t anyone called up the tilt owners or whatever to tell them how bad the management there is? For God’s sake get rid of chaos, get in 3s, and make a sacrifice to get GGXXSlash in there, even if it might be much asking, tilt really needs some other games.
If tilt can’t do that, then they should just close it. >:|
There’s a 3rd Strike machine in some pool hall on Central in Brownsville. To my knowledge, the sticks and buttons are fine there. Go check it out.
City Kart in Olmito (or Brownsville?) has a working 3rd strike with good sticks and buttons. The only problem is that it’s set to one round in versus mode.
Are you talking about the billards? Yeah, I know that machine there, but no one ever goes there and I haven’t gone there myself in a long time. I remember the buttons on second player being broken last time I went, but that was like a year ago.
Besides, it’d be better go have a machine somewhere where there’s people, like the mall.
